LotR is about soulmates. I've been figuring them out at an alarming rate recently. Wonder whose Legolas is... You never get to really see his personal motivation in the story. He's just sort of "there". And I like his reaction to when he sees the Lord of the Black Land as an aura of blinding light (he tries to look inside it). Why is he shooting everything that the Lord puts in his way, like they are challenges?
