    Sandro great video You have to use hushed tones when you talk about holden lol Its great your respectful to the customer wishes. which just happens to be your brother. WE all know you could have got it 90 to 95% corrected with a 2 stage polish As and when your brother goes to sell it you know you will still have more clear coat to do a full correction. Due to your sympathetic valet. Its great to see the customers wishes comes first. Good for you. A satisfied customer is the best BUSINESS STRATEGY of ALL. IN Sandro we trust

    MAN I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS WHOLE VIDEO!!!! I Know your brother is extremely grateful and thankful!! That’s a ton of work!!!! Insane finish - it seems you hit the nail on the head! More focus on gloss and less on correction, preserve the paint and prioritize your time as well!! Loved the part on how if you did another stage it would of been clear coat removed and not so much a better finish to justify it!!
    One of the things I’ve learned from you is that in the 2nd stage of polishing you can run the machine for longer to pick up more of the product on a lower speed, with slightly faster arm motions, to enhance gloss and clarity! Correct?
    But for example, on this car you did, would that rule hold true? Is it more a rule for finishing, or is is possible to work a compound polish longer?
    If you work a compound too long will you create more micro marring, or is that marring mainly due to the wrong pad and product choice?
    Thanks Sandro!

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      Glad you enjoyed it mate and yes, you can usually finish a little better by lowering machine speeds and increasing arm movement speeds, but as I was doing a one step here and using a primer polish that also fills and seals, I used a more standard one step approach which was a balanced of cut and finishing techniques.

    • @JeLifeCoach
      @JeLifeCoach 2 роки тому +1

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailing that’s makes sense. I’m learning a lot from you. Could you ever foresee a situation in compounding where you would do more passes instead of the traditional 2x2 to pick up more polish on an intensive one step? Would doing extra rows and sets of passes create micro scratching as the compound goes away?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, there’s times when I will change up my technique like doing more passes but that’s based around what I’m seeing in my results, there has to be reason and result that correlates with doing that, and as each paint is different it’s always a case by case scenario.

    • @JeLifeCoach
      @JeLifeCoach 2 роки тому +1

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailing that makes sense but as a novice I’m trying to understand a framework. If you are compounding or doing a 1 step intensive could you work the polish so much that you would create microscratching or pigtails?
      Sometimes when i polish it’s like i get the big defects but create a bunch of smaller ones that come out in the refinement stage.
      I’d like to know that if I’m doing an intensive one step and crating those scratches but with a great gloss finish, does that mean I am using the wrong pad and polish combo?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      If compounds are overworked they can start clumping and creating micro marring defects but the micro marring can also be due to the combination just not finishing well so it’s not necessarily one or the other, it just depends mate and doing a few tests is the only real way to start to work out which one it is by switching up and comparing results.

    Do you feel W6 would be a good sealant vs something like Powerlock for a car that lives outside? My car is coated in Crystal Serum Ultra and is garage kept, but my wife's 4Runner will be outside 100% of the time and am leaning towards a sealant vs coating for that reason.

      @@CarCraftAutoDetailing awesome thank you for the info as I was curious. Also, do you plan on making an updated compound review ? I’m looking for a new compound to switch over to. Currently I use Koch chemie heavy cut. Any recommendations?

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      I’m sure I’ll have more compound reviews coming, just not sure when.
      At the moment I’d say the cutting compounds I’m mostly using are Nv Precision, TLC+, Carpro UltraCut and Scholl S2 Black, I’d really recommend them all.

    Hopefully your brother didn't bother you over the 2 days while you performed your professional detail. Like a good brother, did you charge him list price? 😉

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      No my brother was pretty busy with work but I had the car much longer to do the video which always takes longer than the detail itself! No list price charge 🙂 I decided a long time ago that I don’t charge family, we just all help each other out where we can.

    I think you struck the perfect balance of gloss enhancement and clear coat preservation. My favorite parts of this video were the polishing of the glass with Essence, and the 3 layers of protection you put on paint, plastic trim and wheels. Truly excellent work Sandro. Many thanks to you for all of your hard work, and to your brother for sharing his pride and joy with us.

    A perfectly explained and well exexcuted DETAIL.
    SANDROS the A to Z of the DETAILING experience. The richness of the paint and showing exactly how years of experience pay off using his huge knowledge of the thought process takes you on a journey throughout each part of the video. Thanks for your hard work pal, we love your videos.

      Haha I was working late or early into the morning on that one.
      I’d say on that car based on limited use it’s going to be a good year or two, but on a daily I’d guess 6mths plus is very doable

    A joy as always to watch you work your magic. You can’t be a car person and not love a Monaro. How do you think w6 would go on top of a ceramic coating? Curious if it would clog the coating or enhance it? Love your work once again and thanks for sharing your magic

    • @CarCraftAutoDetailing
      @CarCraftAutoDetailing  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate, it would be interesting to try it over a coating to test that out but it may not be quite as hydrophobic and seems to lay down thick so you could be right.
