I got very lucky with that spot lol it was very breezy standing up lol or moving a bit away but higher up it was definitely blustery. See you in the next part its quite long so bring tea and biscuits 😆
I think I'd have stayed in the sleeping bag for the day 🤣 While I can understand your logic regarding the trail runners (and it seems there's a lot who agree with you too) I've always been more comfortable in boots year round. Already looking forward to the next part of this adventure.
Boots are good for winter when cold but trail runners just more comfy and adaptable when it's over freezing certainly once 10c and over. Colder is fine check out an old video with Bess and trail runners on Dartmoor in sub zero weather . That trip pushed the philosophy to the limit lol 😆 they are better solo not plodding along stopping chatting standing around is a no no when cold Many thanks 😊
@@TonyHobbs Maybe I just have strange feet lol. Though I will admit to having an assortment of boots of various weights too. Even most of my everyday footwear consists of boots of some type or another.
Nope lol very rarely see them crawling on groundsheet. Do occasionally esp with Lizzy running across it I've seen one in sleeping bag or on mat but it's rare and never had one tuck in. They thankfully seem to dislike me. I've had one start but brushed it off. Had one walking on my foot. Seem them on fly. Ditch the inner unless midges around lol I tend to leave inner in tent as they a unit but pyramids or Trailstars I'll just use groundsheet bathtub floor.
You're far too generous ... not sure i said freezing just stormy 😆 I had plenty of tea so you need not concern yourself but I'll see you in the next part
You can't really compare them Biggest difference is the height of to ground pitching for UK use. I guess windy weather this will be better but for that for most I'd say stick with regular poly ts. Not a very good influencer am I lol just being realistic 😅 there's two more parts to this trip (four total) and where applicable possible I'll be getting this out again soon ish depends on exact plans . I like it. Its just different to cricket .
Hi Tony...really enjoy your ramblings...and chats....all the best from a chilly Derbyshire....
Very many thanks 😊
Looked a tad breezy up on them tops, you definitely found a good sheltered pitch, atb Mick 👍

@IvanDP1967 some just prefer the psychological aspect of boots etc
😊
Do you get ticks frequently? I’d like to camp sans inner or under a tarp but always apprehensive of waking up covered in them 😀

Was going to buy you a coffee but it did not look that cold.....

Where's the storm as mentioned in the description just a bit breezy on the tops obviously you are in the nancy South😂😂 LOL Happy New year 👍
It's just over the top I was a sensible youtuber and took shelter 😆
Plus the title is can you survive a storm as you see when you see me walking up hill I say you could go home or seek shelter 😉
@@TonyHobbs I agree "it was just over the top" 😂😂😂
Hi Tony,
My friend and I are trying, and failing, to place your lovely accent. Where in the country did you grow up?
Born and brought up in Bristol but you not believe it lol
Tony, how do you like the Little Trailstar compared to the Cricket? which one do you prefer?
You can't really compare them
