Chris Eubank is a legend. Such a nice guy. I love his eccentricity. The man likes what he likes, is who he is. Only someone who isn't comfortable in their own skin would hate a guy like Chris Eubank. He was a badass boxer in his day and a true entertainer in the sport. Loved the lights and the camera. My dad used to film boxing as a cameraman in the 90s/2000s. He met people like Tyson, Prince Naseem, Barry McGuigan and many more. Eubank was always his favourite man to film because he loved getting up in the camera before the fight, and was just a really nice guy besides that. Some fighters, like Tyson in his day, had a reputation for bullying/pushing around the gaffers and camera teams before the fight began, to pysche himself up I guess. Chris was nothing but talkative, friendly, and excited before a fight. When I was little we lived in Brighton, and Chris Eubank used to drive around in his enormous lorry along the beachfront, this was also around the same time my mother saved Barry McGuigan's young boys during a boxing match when a big brawl broke out near the ring. My mum got Barry's boys out of the way, and he was very grateful, and even gave me a signed tiny little baby-sized pair of boxing gloves with the george cross on it lol.
Met Eubank outside a pub in Brighton, Uk. He was a gentleman. Took a photos with me and my then mrs at the time. Was dapper head to toe. Stood out from the rest. I know he can be abit of a helmet though. Going on "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" Did him no favours in the public eye.
You can tell the sadness he has with his son and the strain on their relationship. He wanted to mentor his son. He could see if he did, his son would have been a multi-weight champion by now. But his son decided differently. He wasn't and isn't a warrior like his father. He's a PE teacher and athlete.
I think part of the problem is probably that Eubank's son doesn't understand firsthand the struggles of the boxer's of the past like his father, because he was born into wealth and already had recognition. Alot of the old boxers were fighting for survival, because its all they knew to get out of their crap circumstances. Boxing now is a joke compared to before, because alot of the boxers that get the most attention now are the ones who already have everything, so there's nothing really for them to gain or lose.

Mr Eubank IS talking absolute Truths here - Love him. ... l also respect & love Benn. - Its a different World nowadays & the likes of Fury fight once a year at best. Totally agree with Mr Eubanks opinions wholeheartedly. 👍
@travelwithwill. No he wasn’t , he was just hard to hit , he defended more than he attacked , he wore his opponents down with them coming to him not the other way around
Eubank was often booed at his fights, basically because he could be very boring , spending too much time posing as opposed to fighting, not enough action. A lot of so-called boxing fans are saying how great Eubank was, they obviously weren't around when he actually was competing.
@@muckle8 so he beat guy's by making them miss while he was being advanced on whilst also reserving as much energy as possible, and you don't think that's a great boxer? I take it you just enjoy people planting their feet and swinging

He's right about modern boxing. The likes of Fury, Joshua, Wilder and Usyk play it safe, hand picking their opponents once a year or every two years, unlike the champions of old who fought multiple times a year and didn't shirk an opponent no matter who he was.
Both AJ and now Usyk have tried and failed to make fights with Fury and he's done everything in his power to avoid them. Don't insult them by putting them on the same list.
Modern heavy weight boxing is complete garbage and boring af All soft compared to Hollyfield, prime tyson, Lennox Lewis etc. They'd all get folded like a cheese toasty, complete princesses compared to the real heavyweights.
I met Chris once when I worked at Sky TV, he had not long lost the 2nd fight to Collins and I found he is such a nice guy who has time for people. He ended his phone call just to talk to me and even waited around while I found a pen and paper for his autograph. Top bloke.
I always remember staying up with my dad to watch Friday night live to see him fight Nigel Benn. He won but when he was interviewed blood was pouring out of his mouth and all he could say was “I need to go to hospital”
Love Eubanks delivery on this. It is so true. Warriors should train warriors who have felt what it’s like to battle. His son should listen and listen carefully as he only has his best interest at heart.

I 100 percent agree with Chris Eubank, boxing in this generation is nonsense the fighters only fight once or twice a year and then act like they have been the world champion for longer then the fighters of the past, fighters who were being challenged and fighting 5 times a year. A loser is someone who does not live up to their potential and has a fear of trying. A winner is not afraid to lose as they know they will grow and always come back stronger. today you have losers trying to tell the winners of the past how to be successful.
Used to think he was loosing his shit, it's obvious now days he's just so aware of his accomplishments and who he is that he doesn't care to be anyone other than who he is! @@mrunique4871thats pretty much what Justin said to Charles before he got choked out lol you don't know what your talking about kiddo
Strange fellow. Admirable in a way, and yet I fear for the balance of his mind at times. That said, he has endured great sorrows and is deserving of respect as a warrior.
It's a gimmick like pro-wrestlers, if you read his autobiography he explains it all.
Man....Boxing and Pro-Wrestling used to be promoted on the same card😅
Lol he hasn't changed has he lol not one bit, good on him
You're strange, why he strange?
I know exactly what Chris is saying as I have a 22 year old boy who I love dearly but he doesn't listen to my 57 years of experience because he has the internet now. He thinks I can't teach him anything because he says things are different now. Yes there's always progression but basically age and knowledge is king. The internet has a lot to answer for. Big up Chris. I love the guy. Coming from Brighton and Hove.
He speaks better English than most of us
So true 👍
Speak for yourself, we ain’t all grow up council estate you scummer
Yes, but like it's cos he's on camera innit .ain't rocket surgery to figure bro
What an absolute gentleman and a legend. His son has nothing on him no disrespect
Following in Dad's footsteps isn't an easy road. Particularly when your role model is at Chris's level.
Wow. You can feel his pain. If I wanted to be taught it would be by this guy . But some kids won’t listen to there parents no matter how much of a legend
You would definitely be able to defend yourself after being trained by Chris, legend in my eyes.
It's insane how stronge n brutal this guy was his ring IQ was amazing 1 of Britain's best
I think he waffles 🧇 shite tbh
He isn’t wrong. I agree totally that there is a difference between being taught how to box and being fit enough to box.
"If you're talking to me there's nothing to miss understand"
That's one of the most gangster sentences ever. So true! Eubank was a different breed of fighter!
His fights with benn and Watson are the stuff of legends. They had the whole of Britain sat on the edge of their seats. Probably the greatest era in British boxing. Benn, eubanks, Watson, prince naz, frank Bruno, Lennox Lewis. So many household names in the game, who were always in the ring fighting
Without doubt recent history has showed us that that era from the late 80s through to the 90s was without question the golden era of British Boxing. What we see today is an inferior product I don't even know I bother with it because I know that I'm sold garbage. I really need to get a life.
It was probably the best era of boxing in general, not just for British fighters
Boxing is the only sport that has not progressed with time. Modern boxers couldn’t live with the 70’s 80’s 90’s 00’s
@@GonnerGeezer it’s because there’s way better money now in things like NBA & NFL, most youngsters with top athletic genetics are more inclined to favour those sports because you can earn better money without getting punched in the head repeatedly…
I love eubank and also Joe calzaghe and Steve collins
Chris Eubank on boxing, is such a compelling enigma, every sentence pregnant with deep thought and wisdom, delivered so articulately and punctuated with superlatives that glisten like jewels.
He was a savage in the ring
Trainers today = PE teachers, all about losing weight, looking good?
Trainers yesterday = "Now this is how you win... when you encounter this... you do THAT"!
Everytime the camera goes back to Rob he's just got the look of 'wtf is going on?' all over his face.
He is such a fascinating speaker, with a great aura
Yes at least you understand
Eubank juniors mother ruined him
You hit the nail on the head there. Nice one.
His son doesn't have it in him no matter who's mentoring him
I think part of the problem is probably that Eubank's son doesn't understand firsthand the struggles of the boxer's of the past like his father, because he was born into wealth and already had recognition.
Alot of the old boxers were fighting for survival, because its all they knew to get out of their crap circumstances.
Boxing now is a joke compared to before, because alot of the boxers that get the most attention now are the ones who already have everything, so there's nothing really for them to gain or lose.

Oh i understand chris perfectly....he has the mind of a fighter
His fights with Nigel Benn, and Collins, were legendary. Love or hate the man, his skills in the ring were superb. Maybe his kid should pay attention.☮️😀🇬🇧
What a fighter he was. Warrior mindset. This guy backed it up.
Mr Eubank IS talking absolute Truths here - Love him. ... l also respect & love Benn. - Its a different World nowadays & the likes of Fury fight once a year at best. Totally agree with Mr Eubanks opinions wholeheartedly. 👍
He was a great boxer
A great warrior, I cant think of a braver fighter. The second Watson fight, the first against Benn, and the two losses to Thompson at Cruiserweight, thats what he's talking about when he says he can't be broken.
Nigel ben said his chin was like hitting granite
The world needs more like him he’s a character that’s something the modern day world is killing off
Chris Eubank LEGEND...
I Followed Chris Nigel & bruno...in the day
LOOK BACK AT HIS FIGHTS ..
Hero....
Real fans know he was the best....
SIMPLY THE BEST
BETTER THAN ALL THE REST.
NEVER CHANGE CHRIS....
MAX RESPECT...

I looked after all of Chris intruder alarm systems in Hove for over 10 years. Lovely person and had time for you!
A proper fighter who wasn't afraid to lose a fight as long as he was in one.
People say he’s insane, he is greatness, genius, elite. Us common folk can’t comprehend and deep exactly what he’s saying. This man is special.
Man those were the days, what a legend and what a fighter and great guy for sure..
What was great about him?
They seem to hate a Blackman being articulate or striving for perfection SHAME.
He's right about modern boxing. The likes of Fury, Joshua, Wilder and Usyk play it safe, hand picking their opponents once a year or every two years, unlike the champions of old who fought multiple times a year and didn't shirk an opponent no matter who he was.
Usyk and AJ hand picking opponents ? ?
Fury is anyway.
Both AJ and now Usyk have tried and failed to make fights with Fury and he's done everything in his power to avoid them. Don't insult them by putting them on the same list.
@@bosamboJoshua & Usyk been avoiding Fury. Joshua don’t matter now anyway he’s a has been
Modern heavy weight boxing is complete garbage and boring af
All soft compared to Hollyfield, prime tyson, Lennox Lewis etc. They'd all get folded like a cheese toasty, complete princesses compared to the real heavyweights.
Never seen Chris so angry !!polite but stern smile throughout 😮
This is a brilliant interview lol. Interviewer approached this perfectly 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
It's mad how this guy can knock someones head off.
Respect to him. He understands the art of war
Love Eubanks delivery on this. It is so true. Warriors should train warriors who have felt what it’s like to battle. His son should listen and listen carefully as he only has his best interest at heart.
Rob desperately trying not to piss him off
Interviewing Eubank is very similar to Tyson. You have to be very careful what you say, one wrong move and they
can switch lol
I tweeted this months ago
Is it me or is boxing crap this day and age .. unlike the 80's and 90's...every week there was a decent fight in all weight divisions now it seems as though its like a decent one off fight between a small niche of fighters all heavyweights ..😓
I loved Chris's era of boxing. To behave his way you have to back it up. He did, in spades. Respect.
I wish I had a father like Chris. I would be a world champion and a greater man. Chris knows what he is talking about. This man is deep.
You are wishing for a stranger to have f×××× your Mother? WTF is wrong with you.
Mr Eubank , totally Respect yo you. Your are a gentleman, a warrior and a champion roll in to one. Your fights were very entertaining and skillful. I feel confident you have passed all your knowledge on to your son. I’m very pleased you are putting the records straight to them people who don’t have a clue of what they are talking. Respect sir. Kindcrefsrds from Denn, ex army veteran
😂😂😂 I remember watching the fight when Chris stood in the ring with the pose and then gently marched over stood ready but still in the pose and dodged the first punch then flattened the other dude 😂😂😂 and then stood in the pose again as the dude was rigid on the canvas 😂😂😂😂 Brilliant 😂 wouldn't have mattered if they counted to 100 guy was never getting up lol 😂
Chris was an amazing fighter and possibly an amazing father,, he is always full of wit and charm, one phrase speaches. Hes always immaculate and a true gentleman. Yes chris i agree we need fighters to train fighters, like a gladiator 😊👊i hope we still see him in the future as a boxing king.... Keep up the good work Chris and stay STRONG MY FRIEND 😉👌❤️🇬🇧👊👊👊
He is a WARRIOR no doubt Mr Eubank REAL OG.❤
I could listen to Chris for days on end👍
I used to to do Martial Arts at the same gym where Chris trained at before he was famous, and always remember having great chats with him in the changing rooms.
What did you chat about?
@@jiujitsuboy About styles of fighting mainly, I was about 15 at the time, he was always very positive, telling us to train hard, and be the best we could be.
Chris, you are one of the last of the real boxers. Today's boxers are a joke
What a star when he got into the ring he was there for one reason to win . I watched all he's fights what a great guy.hes son is getting there but what foots steps to follow in
Modern boxer's are trained be P.E teachers😂 brilliant
You have to feel it to know it, pe teachers study it but never been in the ring. Very well said. Having said that we all can't have what it takes to be boxers and not everyone wants to take those heavy blows.
Smart men always called "crazy" look at da mans record!! Love him r hate him experience is knowledge..personally i enjoy his interviews "warriors train warriors " well said Chris love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Boxing just ain’t the same, just like everything else now. The worlds gone soft...... and stupid.
Its like listening shakespeare on valium, legend
One of my childhood heroes hearing him speak reminds me somewhat of colonel kutrz from apocalypse now. He was class then and is class now. A true legend!
Fearsome fighter in his day - one of ethe last great British fighters...thanks for uploading.
Well said Chris your right on the money...
Chris is one of a kind. What a great man ❤
I love Eubank(pause). He is a beautiful paradox. The man grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, Peckham and the Bronx. 3 very tough areas and yet has risen above all that and carries himself as someone born into privilege. A warrior and beast in the ring, Gentleman and scholar outside of the ring❤
I met him a couple of times and he is an absolute gentleman. A quiet, polite and very nice man.
Simply the best👍💯
The man deserves all the respect in the world, for the fights he gave us
Chris is too special. What a great personality! During his fighting days many loathed him thinking he was cocky. As young as he was, he truly knew what he was up to. A true giant of a warrior indeed. I feel like crying listening to him. Too much respect for this man.
Great channel Rob. Respect and you ask the right questions even before you know it 😂😂😂👏🏾
Brilliant fighter & very honest man, sometimes he rubs people up the wrong way but he's entitled to his opinion, a true warrior in the ring & the Benn fights were brutal
I love and respect Chris Eubanks. Met him numerous times in Brighton. Absolute gentleman
Have never met a more polite and respectful gentleman. Respect.
My daughter worked in Vision Express in Worthing. Chris was a customer, and she said he was lovely. Always very respectful and friendly, and took time to chat with members of the public who wanted selfies with him.
Chris was the real deal, he trained himself. What a man, most boxers are crazy mother ducks, Chris had to be, facing Nigel Benn, the cat Thompson, Joe Caz, Micheal Watson, and many other great boxers. I do wish he faced Micheal Nunn and James Toney 🤷♂️
Chris speaking more sense about life and boxing here than in any other interview before.
Man, "if you hear a story about me, you'll misunderstand me... but if you talk to me, there's nothing to misunderstand", man that is so true and profound. Wow...
A man qualified to criticise today's boxers.
Chris Eubank was one of the greatest boxing showman of his time and a total warrior in the ring. People loved to hate him, and also loved him in equal measure. He was total showman in out the ring and a great champ. Thanks you for the boxing and showmanship. The one and only Chris Eubank 🏆
I love Chris. He is unwell. Show him love and kindness.
How long have you known him mate,is he a top guy in person ?
Eubank brought a lot of interest into boxing. An incredible man. He fought Joe Calzaghe with 2 weeks notice and gave him his toughest ever fight. A true legend
This man is a true champ in the ring and out ! Pure class and a true warriors ethic !!
Respect, respect ,respect ,Chris eubank what a warrior .
You have to respect a man like Chris. He really fought some of the most dangerous men in his realm. And conquered most! After he really hurt his opponent he was never the same! A true warrior inside and out!
