Iman's Window Display at Barneys with Simon Doonan

The fashion industry celebrates Iman's legendary accomplishment as the recipient of the 2010 CFDA Fashion Icon Award! In honor of this achievement, Barneys' creative director Simon Doonan designed two fabulous windows with all things Iman. He takes us behind the scenes in the creation of the stunning windows!

Iman looks fabulous as always....never aging! I wonder why they didn't use the DG Williams Iman mannequin. I also wonder what how the window would look if Saks, Bergdorf or even Lord & Taylor did the retrospective. Well I just have to wonder LOL.

Well deserved but I don't know about Iman's name spelled out in weave! I don't think I can cosign that.

I did not see Beverly Johnson or Pat Cleveland at the iconic event for Iman. I just thought
it would have been nice to see Beverly and Pat at the ceremony honoring the great Iman.

Another dreadful window at Barney's. Sloppy and typical "Ill put anything in the window to gain attention. Over the years any time I catch myself in front of Barney's window's which look like a half assed art installation by a bunch of fighting 10year old''s I instantly have to run to Bergdorfs or Sak's to get a look at Visual artistry done at its best. I know that Department store windows are supposed to make you feel something but I didnt think that "Irritated" was what rhey were going for.

Simon...is not known for good taste...you know that...however IMAN ...deserves to be celebrated... God bless them both..
