Here I am watching your Disney wedding videos, and I'm already married 😂 no plans for a Disney wedding but I still enjoyed watching these money saving tips!
Second question what if your guests book their stays in different Disney resorts? Some book at Kidani Village & some book at Coronado for example, does it still count?
Guests can stay at any Disney resort for it to count towards your minimum nights required for the free room. If you’re staying on property, it’ll also count. We recommend booking 1 or 2 resorts max if you’re transporting guests to your wedding though because the more stops the transportation makes, the more it’ll cost you. Be careful with committing to resort nights though as you may be on the hook if your guests don’t book the nights and stay off property. A Room Block expert can go through all the details with you :)
Like 44 As promised I am watching all the Disney wedding videos. You mentioned your guests booked 50 nights, how was that determined? Did Disney add up how many nights each room was booked for? For instance Aunt Sally booked 2 nights, and Uncle Joe booked 6 nights, so that equals 8 nights?
Yup you got it. Aunt Sally and Uncle Joe would count as 8 nights using your example. If guests don’t book using your room block (eg your room block is for All Stars but some guest wanted to stay at Grand Floridian), they can give you their reservation code and you can give it to your wedding team and they’ll manually add those nights to the minimum. If you’re staying using paid nights or DVC it also counts towards minimum nights. Make sure to speak with the Room Block expert and ask tons of questions as room blocks may come with some risk (eg if you book 20 nights for room blocks and no guests book Disney property to stay on you may be on the hook for those nights).
The train station was $15,000 when we booked it, but we did notice it has gone up to $20,000. If you’d like to know how much we paid for everything, we have a video about the total cost of our wedding on the channel. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Yeah it’s definitely an unconventional time for a wedding but it’s one of the coolest experience being at the park when it’s completely empty of guest. We also had a cool experience of seeing how Cast members prepare the park for opening.
Whah?! I always talk about the cake 😂😂 I’m a little obsessed with desserts and food 😜
Haha, I’m sure there are lots of people like you! 🎂🫢 But $2K is a nice amount to save for other things!
