My boy John parked the truck 6 miles away this time so he couldn't get stuck! :D Joking aside, I can't believe how much damage those little critters caused! Great video, thank you!
Congratulations to Mika on his wedding 💒 🤵♂️ 👰. Great repair work on the muskrat damage , they sure tunneled deep into the bank. That’s a awesome fishing 🎣 spot just needed to bring your propane fish fryer to that picnic area and lunch is on! Thanks for sharing your work day! 👍👋
John great fix of Hardening the Key Way around that lake. I live near Lake Okeechobee here in Florida. The Army Corps of Engineers have been Working on the dike for over 15 years.-They spent over $2 billion so far. The latest repairs include a 4 foot wall in the keyway that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the banks so there’s no flooding. Again great job buddy
Be careful young man, pond repair and building projects have a tendency to grow on you. Next thing you know you will be the local pond king. Nice looking finish on the project, thanks for the ride along, appreciate it.
Never fails! When we try to do jobs as a favor or normally wouldn't do, they almost always are a PAIN! But way to hang with it, great job! Time lapse was really good 👍.
Congrats Micah!!! Very happy for you! Land owner really needs to get proactive and get out in front of the otters and beavers! They never sleep! Fantastic job on the dam!
It is always a tough job repairing rodent damage in Dams & levies We do alot of Dat type of work as well as land clearing jobs outstanding job Gentlemen
Congrats on the deal with Hyundai. Nice work. It looked like the dirt you were bringing in was higher than your overflow so you are good to go. Those little devils did some bigtime damage to that dam.
What a shame you guys on UA-cam are always busy......This video would have made a great Cameo for Letsdig18 to pop over and give some advice this is kinda is speciality not saying you guys don`t know what you are doing has from this episode you sure do know what you are doing......great video UBC...Stay Safe..........Congratulations Micah
John the next time you put your pipe in the ground fall into the water for your drain wrap a couple of your chains around it or even a couple bolts inside of it screw man and put some blocks on the end of it so it'll sink down and it'll stay there
Hey John next time you find the big hole of the Beaver dam going through the pond put a little fire in there and grab some dead grass and one bit of wet grass on top of it stick on top of that fire and grab one of your own electric battery powered thing blowers put it on low and let it blow in the smoke into the hole and that should show you every hole that is inside that damn and plus also get ready to craters real quick
I have the same problem in one of my ponds that I need to fix however when done I am laying vinyl covered chain link fence down on the water side with around a foot of the wire above the water line that will or should prevent this from happening again. They can't dig through the fence
This looks exactly like my pond and property layout, I'm in NC, 2 acre pond and i have the exact problem (damage from muskrat burrows in my dam). I had a beaver issue too but got rid of them with a 330 connibear. Jw, what is the rough cost to build the dam back up?
Glad that you made sure that truck was far enough to not get damaged... but as I was watching a was also getting a bit worried due to the more you were digging it seems like the less and less road above you , you had, and that Road or crossing was NOT that wide to begin with. Just my thoughts, and since I know very little about what your doing, just looking at all this, would it be more possible to instead of just moving all the soft dirt all over the place, to instead bring in some gravel, with more dirt, and spread it over?? More gravel than dirt, and give the little critters less material to dig their homes out of??
I hope they got rid of the muskrats or they will dig the new holes faster than you can repair them. You have to use big expensive machines to dig the holes out and all they use is two little feet. Muskrats are good eating since they are vegetarians.
If the land owner is interested in saving that pond, EVERY tree and root from the water line to the back base of the dam should be removed. If it's not in the budget to fix it now, it will cost more later 🙁
Why take a chance you should have stopped when you saw all of the rocks in the dam it was not good soil when the dam was built to many rocks and not good clay. that way you can cover your butt and tell the owers the pond needs drains and good clay can be hauled in, it will leak again there's no way of fixing it with more bad dirt
Congratulations Mica and his girl! Nice job on the damn guys! Thanks
My boy John parked the truck 6 miles away this time so he couldn't get stuck! :D
Joking aside, I can't believe how much damage those little critters caused! Great video, thank you!

Awesome video. Really interesting. Also love the pond bank shots in the time lapse with the Hyundai HX140ALD working. Smooth operator.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a different project for us.
I have the same problem in one of my ponds that I need to fix however when done I am laying vinyl covered chain link fence down on the water side with around a foot of the wire above the water line that will or should prevent this from happening again. They can't dig through the fence
Team Micah congratulations
Neat vid unloading
Fun to watch
Machine is purring like a kitten.
They should hifed you to pull the brush and tres off that dam. All that brush on with waters edge is a magnet for muscrats

Its something I'd have to see to put a number on it.
I'm so glad we don't have Beavers here in OZ. 👍🦌🤞
John , if you would like to operate a Hyundai 145 or 220 we just bought a few Hyundai’s last year. We are located in Greenville. Give me a shout!
Yes sir, if you have a minute I might give you a call how can I get a hold of you?
Congratulations Micah and fiancée! 💍🥂
👍👍

Hi buddy
Those routes might be the problem as well
Darn Varmit Kong.
I hope they got rid of the muskrats!!
How would one cook a muskrat? Throw in a pot with carrots and potatoes?
Gross.
Beautiful when Destroys trees . Boys

Hey John, Hard to hear your into over the noise of the machine.
Thanks for the feedback.

To much wasted motion with machine results in a lot of wasted fuel even if it’s trying to make a longer video.
