Sigrid dodges the glitzy trappings of the pop genre, but her typical wardrobe of light-washed jeans and t-shirts belie her ambitious artistry. Instead, the Norwegian singer-songwriter lets her music do the talking. 2019’s ‘Sucker Punch’ debut was loaded with face-slapping choruses and synth-laden anthems like “Strangers” and “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” announcing the arrival of a formidable pop parvenu. On her new ‘How To Let Go’ album, she looks to another genre that loves big sounds: rock. Bring Me The Horizon's Olly Sykes helped her incorporate guitar, electric bass, and percussion elements; he adds his own vocals to “Bad Life,” an inspirational duet that’s a highlight of the record. When Sigrid hit our studio, we captured performances of three new tracks and they came out great. Leading a full band, she's both pop star and rock frontwoman - a fitting merger of her ever-expanding skill set.
