Figured out the pathology of upper esophageal scleroderma because one of my relatives died of this disease in 2014:
    1. Excessive collagen deposits causes cellular damage in the muscular and mucosal lining of the epithelial wall of the esophagus.
    2. One type of damage is bulge-outs of the wall, called strictures. This can lead to the loss of peristalsis in the swallowing muscles in the esophagus, leading to dysphagia.
    3. The mucosal lining in the wall of that part of the esophagus can rot out due to the collagen, causing thinning, and the fibroblast-induced immuno-response due to the excess collagen can even cause, like in the stomach lining, ulcers in that part of the lining.

One of my friend was suffering from discoloration of skin of arms and legs. He went to an allopathic doctor and the doctor advised him for CBC test. The report came and the doctor said that you are suffering from Linear Morphea. Allopathic treatment was started but was not much satisfactory as I stopped taking the medicine, it happened again. One day I was surfing for the internet and got to know about Planet Ayurveda. I opened the site, online ordered Ashwagandha, Neem Capsules, etc. I am much better now.

You shared very good information. My uncle was suffering from this problem. He was very upset at that time. He went to Planet Ayurveda and started his treatment. Now he is fine. If you have this type of problem or any other type of health problem. You must go to Planet Ayurveda.

i have linear scleroderma on the left side of my forehead, cheek, neck and back
i got treated with hydroxychloroquin but i stopped seeing the dermatologist and after three months i stopped taking it
i recently saw a rheumatologist about it and he said that this was the first time he ever saw it and had only seen it in text books
every doctor i’ve seen always treats it like an interesting science experiment
i’m looking for other treatments for it
i didn’t like the plaquinil because it made me reallly dizzy and nauseous but that it the only treatment my doctor has recommended
does anyone know of any doctors doing any research studies for this near san antonio texas?

Samiam munoz I have localized linear scleroderma on my left leg, arm and hand and when seen by a specialist(TN) at the hospital I was given steroid infusions as well as physical therapy and methotrexate injections and I’ve been getting so much better. Don’t know if this could help you I just thought I’d try.
      P. S. Other medications I’ve been prescribed are folic acid, ranitidine and prednisone

In a nutshell, scleroderma, meaning hard skin - is - in layman's terms - localized or systemic cellular damage to the body due to unchecked and uncontrolled collagen growth, due to a dysfunction of the body's immune system that causes the attack and resultant destruction (through "fibrosis") of some or all of its good tissues and cells.

There is a much higher mortality rate in systemic scleroderma, especially if you have scleroderma renal crisis, and also if you have myocardial crisis or pulmonary crisis caused by that same damaging collagen excess.....

In the hands, localized sclerodermic damage starts with Raynaud's phenomenon and sclerodactyly - but it can worsen to digital necrosis - mainly of the fingertips - which can cause gangrene of the area and will require amputation.
