- Dinosaur Jr. played a fun show during a torrential downpour at Shaky Knees in Atlanta on May 5, 2024.
I recorded the whole show, but this is the most entertaining part. Unfortunately when the rain started, J. moved back to keep from getting drenched, and a tarp blocked my view of him. Nevertheless, security did a fabulous job helping soaking wet and slippery crowd surfers down safely over the barricade. And Dino Jr. rocked through it all.

I was here! It was my first time seeing Dinosaur Jr. and WOW, what an amazing first impression! My brother was making sure that I stayed safe as we were quite literally BEHIND the mosh pit, AND we helped start some of the crowd surfing you saw in that video. I LOVE the music I was able to hear and it felt like the storm came for Dinosaur JR.

I was off to the back a little before the sound board and on Js side and i can't even describe how cool it sounded with his guitar amps bouncing off the rain, props to all the crowd surfers thanks for the vid!
I helped start that moshpit lmao. It went from drizzling to pouring as the first chord played and that just made everyone so excited, epic is an understatement. It was magical. Instant Waterpark.

Yeah everyone was just having a blast. It’s great to see so many people together having fun and enjoying a kickass show. The rain brought things to another level!
