I played this game over 10 times and is one of my life long favorite games ever. I am literally obsessed with peach because of this game. I wish they would give it more credit
I hadn't played it before and after I did, it turned out to be a great game. They should really think about making another Peach game. Even if it's another approach.
I would love to see a sequel to Super Princess Peach. Princess Peach Showtime is good even though it's not a sequel to Super Princess Peach. Honestly I believe a sequel to Super Princess Peach could involve the Queen of the Koopas, who was thought to have died when Peach defeated her before the events of Super Mario Sunshine, who now wants to not only claim Perry's powers but get revenge on Peach and get her husband to realize that she's not dead. Not to mention it would involve her kidnapping Mario and Luigi using magic to disguise herself as Peach and make the whole Bowser-Peach concept from Super Mario Odyssey happen even though it's the Koopa Queen's disguise spell wearing off midway through the first boss fight Peach has against her.
Wow, I love this approach. Super Princess Peach needs a comeback and that is definitely a good one. Not to mention that it would be tied to Super Mario Sunshine and Odyssey, Awesome idea
loved this game as a kid! i couldn’t get pass the stupid owl boss tho 💀 i thought the emotions were cool… ppl just wanna have something to complain about cuz there are other Nintendo females that are powerhouses. But seriously Peach needs a series of her own 👏
Yes, haters be complaining for no reason. Super Princess Peach is already a series of her own they just need to bring it back. Do you think it will work now addays?
The 2nd game is *kinda* here. It’s also on the Nintendo Direct!Idk if it’s gonna be named Super Princess Peach 2 or Mario’s Missing 2, but i think it will be Super Princess Peach 2!
@@zenvariety9383 I know that. I commented on this before the name reveal of Showtime. I even knew it wouldn't be a sequel then. My comment was a joke about the main character of both games.
@@pirategamer6630 yeah, jokes tend not to translate well online. Regardless Princess Peach Showtime is a good game. Hopefully Princess Peach Showtime leads to a sequel to Super Princess Peach. Honestly, I can see Peach's series being similar to the Yoshi games where most of the titles are standalone titles with a few sequels here and there. Yet the Yoshi series does jump to different parts of the timeline with a few taking place in the modern day and most taking part in different parts of the past where Baby Bowser's speech is still developing or being developed showing him as a year older as a toddler and being declared king in some instances.
@@zenvariety9383 Believe me, I know about jokes not translating well online. Having been on Discord for nearly four years.. Believe me, I know. I also agree with that statement. Not sure it received THAT good reviews, but really I feel like a sequel wouldn't do as well, unless they included Daisy and some other characters. Maybe also change up the situation where she isn't reduced to her feelings, which kind of sends a bad message about representation of women in media
It actually did receive good reviews. Adding Daisy and changing the emotions format is an excellent approach. This doesn't mean that a sequel wouldn't work even if no Daisy, they just have to work it correctly like they do with Mario and Luigi. Would you agree that Daisy deserves her own game?
@@GameCircleTv Maybe it's just the scale, a million units would be decent for handheld, not sure it works as much for console games A friend of mine is who I think of when I think of Daisy fans, she's cosplayed her too in the past. Weird that Daisy technically, iirc, first appeared in Super Mario Land on GB.
A sequel could easily eschew the silly emotions mechanics, those were only there because of the mess with the now-lost vibe scepter (a tacky vibrator joke, in the English translation at least) and Vibe Island. With all that gone, Peach gets to show off her natural talents and she plows through Bowser's minions.
I prefer them being portrayed as more emotional than they are now. As they are now they're like men, but instead of virtues they give them what would be called "toxic masculinity" traits, and then call them strong and independent. This game isn't a bad thing at all. Maybe it's just saying that girls are emotional. And well, that's true! They are! They're not men, they're women, and women behave differently. Maybe that's the point??
@@jimmyboy131 Not sure you understand toxic masculinity, given that a strong woman is not innately toxic, especially if the specifics for toxicity are not simply standing up for yourself, being assertive and such Emotional and hysterical are pretty different, the game is suggesting this is something to internalize almost
Love this game. The new Princess Peach game is very disappointed. Yes, it looks fun but not what i ask for from Nintendo. Should have a different new character. Then you have a new IP on our hands but nope Nintendo loves to do this. Have great ideas that should be its own thing but they slap a Mario character and call it a day.
