A lot of Asian countries is safe to hitchhike and get a ride to your destination but for many of the Asians people that are watching these video if you ever go to a third world country such as the United States you never hitchhike and never get a ride even if someone offer you a ride. Many people get killed for riding in a car with a stranger, the safest ride in the United States is in a Taxi.
I understand your message about being safe when traveling but the United States is not a third world country. You misunderstand what that means. The United States, being a leader in industrialization, has always been considered a first world country which is why so many people, from 6 continents, risk their lives trying to emigrate there. In your spare time you should research what "third world" country means. There is literally a list of countries although sometimes it varies. But the United States is a 1st world country. Third world countries generally are nations where many of the residents lack basic resources like cleaning running household tap water, household electricity, a stable government and widespread industrialization. If you are ever having a conversation and refer to the U.S. as a third world country it could be quite embarrassing. But there are many countries like Mexico, Venezuela, the US, Somalia, etc. where hitchhiking is dangerous.
I dont think you can casually get a ride, hop on happily, hitchhike bla bla to no matter where you wanna go, no matter where is it. Even in your own hometown. The idea that Asian is the safest is wrong. I might be have this extreme idea which many of you are disagree. But i tell you, either it is the US, any Asian countries, even within your town, do not easily believe to a stranger especially when you are alone and a girl. Please bear it in mind and this is how we teach our young kid. However, im not denying the fact that there are still many good person whether it is in the US, Asian countries, mexico, bla bla whatever it is you mention about. But I somewhat agreed about the third world term.
