Good list, guys. Discovered this channel while grading papers in my local coffee ship. My rule of thumb is, that if I own a game, and an expansion comes out, I will 100 percent acquire it. One of my favorite expansions is Seasons of Inis for Inis. It adds cool new cards, and a mechanism that helps end the game as soon as people start tying each other with win conditions.
Couldn't agree more about Tuscany! It did fix the problem where you could win Viticulture without ever making wine! SO pleased you also enjoy Hirelings in Root, it makes Julian's favourite game actually work properly at two players! We would also give a nod to the Rise of Fenris Campaign in Scythe. A fantastic story and add so much variability to the Scythe base game.
Pandemic: In the Lab is still the most exceptional expansion I’ve ever played (which makes sense - Tom Lehmann is an absolute design genius). It manages to take the one part of the game that was the least interesting - curing diseases - and turn that process into a clever and interesting puzzle that enhances the board play and disease treatment strategy without making the game significantly harder to beat. It turns a game I already loved into one of the best games ever designed. Also, 10/10 Star Wars meme comment. Got me good! Lol
I haven't played In The Lab in years, we really should play it again. And yes I don't know if you've heard but apparently sand is course and rough and gets everywhere.

Always happy to provide a break from essays. We have played Inis, but never with the expansion, we'll need to try it sometime.

Great list!! Orleans co-op is the most well-balanced co-op I've experienced.
It is always so tight. We win maybe 1 in 3 times (and at least one of those wins was because I accidentally cheated.)

Honestly I (shawn) don't really care for wine, so I love the idea of just making money by hosting folks in my country home.
For us, Euphoria xpack is one of our favs. Adding the automa for our 2p games and updating the mining tracks made this one of our favorite games!
Euphoria was on the short list, it was between that and Scythe for the 10 spot. But agreed we never play without it!
I love the expansion for Lord's of Waterdeep and both expansions for Champions of Midgard won't play without them.
Totally agreed on Champions of Midgard. We haven't actually played Skullport still, we really need to.
Good list. I would add two: Valhalla for Champions of the Midgard and New Discoveries for Underwater Cities

Nice list. Does anyone know if Nightfall is a good expansion and/or mandatory for Parks?
It's not mandatory, but it does add a bit more flexibility and strategy. We do always use it, so I guess that says something.

XIA Embers of a Forsaken Star is not just a good expansion, it's straightforward mandatory.
We haven't played Xia, but we've heard good things. We'll have to keep the expansion in mind if we ever get it.
