Those are White Phosphorus grenades, basically smoke grenades on a grander scale. If he was chuckong those any k e he hit would be burning and no amount of help would save anyone. Save for immediate medical help or a mercy killing.
M67 frag grenades have a timed fuse basically as long as you are holding the spoon once you pull the pin you are safe no need to count because you are still holding the mechanism in place but when you throw it you release the mechanism which basically sets off the timer and once it lands the person close has 2-6 second to gtfo, as that's how long it can be for detonation after that grenade leaves your hands. so you throw it it flies through the air for 4 second and then lands meaning you have two seconds to gtfo, pro tip don't try and throw it back if it lands 5ft away from you I'd just run but if it lands right at your feet kick the fucker away from you as far as you can, throwing it back or trying to is not recommended 😂
