God I’m so ready to see what my beloved Lance has in store for Wilds. I’m sooo ready. Also I’m thinking of actually giving Charge Blade a go as my secondary, I just love the idea of powering it up switching to the Lance possibly having a power clash, switching back and SAEDing the shit out of it.

So charge blade as usual doesn't get too many new moves, but instead either borrows old ones or gets stat reworks to make the weapon feel different by making some moves stronger/weaker to rebalance the weapon towards new playstyles.
In this case the biggest change and possibly the only major NEW thing is definitely that you can do the SAED Spin move on its own without the final crash down slam at the end, and even combo this exact move into a proper full SAED.
Other than that, the normal first attack you can do that is usually not done by most charge blade players, the single phial use charge blade sideways chop, now has a higher angle and rushes in much further, possibly doing more damage too in order to incentivize using it.
After an AED, you can also do a reverse swing of sorts.
This is very similar to how world changed the charge blade from 4U, which was its debut.
A lot of the moveset was still the same, but some prominent were how you got the option to keep your red shield after an SAED.
Here we see seemingly more of that idea of "Letting Charge Blade keep going on a single charge" that seems to be the usual Dev philosophy when altering Charge blade. It's very interesting how Charge Blade always feels very similar each generation, it already has so much going for it that slight changes to what it already has is enough to make it new and cool.

I haven’t played CB since 4U (and I wasn’t good at it), and this video has convinced me that it’s time to go back and relearn it. Those combos look incredible.
It also convinced me to play Wilds with a female character, because that armor set is FINE.

The fact that this video is twice as long as every other video, im sensing some weapon bias :D i dont blame you! it was your first weapon.

Charge Blade hasnt changed much in Wilds, but it now it seems that the crappy slow side chop before the double swing in axe mode is gone, and instead replaced with a much more versatile singular wide chop that you can instantly transition into an SAED, without needing to do a double swing.
Remember, these videos wont show everything the weapons can do, we didnt see the shield thrust, or thrust into SAED, savage axe was shown but we arent sure how we activate it this time, and we didnt get shown any proper guard points and where the guard points combo into moves.
Its also possible, that the axe mode itself, has been given guard points woven into its combos, at 4:15 right before the SAED is unleashed, the hunter holds the weapon in front of them, and there is a short pause, meaning you can either combo from it, in this case with an SAED, or with NO input to extend a potential guard point by several extra frames, thats the speculation.

The CB being hard to use is a myth. People over complicate things by info dumping everything it can do to beginners. BTW you should at least try CB when you get to sunbreak, the switch skills can really change how it's played even though they're not optimal I still find it way more fun than icebourne CB
