I've never been arrested. But if I do, read me my Miranda and gimme a phone to call my lawyer. Cops can THINK that makes us guilty but we have all seen too many innocents "TALK" themselves right into jail, and it's HELL walking that back. Some don't ever get exonerated, a few innocents have been executed.
I wanna give huge credit to that taxi driver for reporting the suspicious behavior of this guy and not just going on with his day like nothing happened. If you see something, say something. For all we know he may have saved that woman’s life.
I've been arrested on felony charges, over 20 years ago, and wasn't charged with a felony in the end, but in the moment I invoked and the public defender(offender) that was assigned hated me, openly dripping with contempt toward me, even she in a super snotty way marveled that i was "smart enough to invoke" she was awful and in the end I handled her and was charged with running a stop sign!!!! Instead of the original charges, theft by deception, forgery, and lord knows what else, but I was not guilty and I'm certainly not stupid even back then, if you stfu and engage your rights it's amazing how you can influence the outcome
I love your videos! As a young man, I worked with LAPD and I use to sit in on some of these because I speak Spanish and the detectives needed a translator. I could have gone on To be a cop, but I wanted to do other things with my life. Never, and I mean NEVER, talk to the police without having a lawyer present. The police ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS and they will say ANYTHING to get a confession. They don’t have to be honest with you and they can lie to you. SAY NOTHING and ask for a lawyer. Period, ‘nuff said. Keep up the good works guys, love your videos.
Oh god LAPD the corrupt force that has secret gangs within the force ? The LAPD that Christopher Dorner even tried to clear his name after reporting some of the racist memebers on the force ? Then they cornered him in a cabin and burnt it down? That LAPD
But you don't know shit about this cop so why would you infer he's treated an innocent person like dirt or intentionally put their handcuffs on too tight?
They tried to drop hints that yes you are in trouble and yes get a lawyer. This interview gave me a migraine. Man up, lawyer up and deal with the consequences of your actions.
It's astonishing to me that anyone who is being confronted by the police about criminal charges would speak to the investigators without an attorney, guilty or not. Law enforcement is geared towards the belief that almost every one is guilty, even though they say they only go where the evidence takes them, this statement is highly disingenuous. Your actual freedom, and reputation is at stake protect yourself.
@@honeytesta5960 I don't understand why anybody would open his or her mouth when being told that "everything that you say...will be used against you in a court of law". I'm thankful for channels like this one. I am so interested in criminal psychology but can't pursue it as a career, so to see these types of videos helps satisfy the curiosity. Thank you for the hard work!

He should have had that poop tested before jumping to conclusions. @@annehorrigan570 that would also be cool, or “the interrogation of John Doe” but it’s 10 seconds long and the only thing he says is “i want a lawyer.”
"You have the right to remain silent." Problem is, most people don't have the ABILITY to remain silent. "Anything you say WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU." NOTHING you say will be used FOR YOU. "You have the right to have an attorney present with you during questioning." USE IT! Even if you say you want an attorney and then you start yapping, that CAN be used as long as it wasn't in response to a question. If they start talking (and they probably will), they will try to get you to respond to their story about what happened. If you start talking without being asked a question, it is considered spontaneous speech (or something like that) and it can be used against you. Ask for a lawyer. If they continue talking to you, become a child by putting your fingers in your ears and loudly saying "LA LA LA LA LA, I CAN'T HEAR YOU, LA LA LA LA..." Then don't talk to anyone except your lawyer. No phone calls (they are recorded). No family (they could testify against you). Not your cell mate (they could be a plant). ONLY YOUR LAWYER!
Exactly. If they lawyer up right away then they will have all the information that police have and you’ll know exactly what they have or don’t have on you.
The only things that should be said during an interview or interrogation are "I'm not answering any questions until my lawyer is present" and/or "am I under arrest?" If the answer to the latter is "no" then you can even throw in "am I free to leave?" Love the content. Will 10/10 keep watching. It just baffles me that people don't understand this. Lol.
Agreed. I can’t remember which interrogation channel it was, maybe it was the OG JCS, but they did a video of interrogations of innocent people, and that is exactly how they acted. They react with anger and just keep saying over and over and over “I didn’t do it!”
I’m so glad to see this! I had a supervisor that accused me of something serious at my job. I am a very honest person and was very honest when she called me in her office to question me. I had not done anything close to what she was accusing me of. I was calm but got upset after being called a liar so many times. I was extremely offended. I kept telling her the same thing over and over and absolutely insisting I had not done this. She just kept saying if I was innocent I wouldn’t be so upset and so defensive. Like, what?? It was SO frustrating!
Innocent people proclaim their innocence, which is why cops go to great lengths to withhold why you are being detained. “Just tell me what happened today. Start with when you woke up.” It’s hard to proclaim innocence when they won’t tell you what you’re suspected of having done. Also, omission is not legally a lie.
It was fascinating to watch the two voices in this former officer’s head argue with each other: *Voice A:* “From all my experience policing, I know confidently, beyond any semblance of doubt, that there’s a 0.00% chance of anyone anywhere ever talking their way out of criminal charges during interrogation.” *Voice B:* “Maybe I can talk my way out of this!”

@@tylersmith839 Yes I'm aware police are required to read your rights. They aren't required to emphasize how much they like a particular right and possibly encourage someone to use it. I highly doubt the cop repeatedly tells other people about his favourite right.
I honestly think they're using reverse psychology. Act like it's not important, but it's important that they emphasize it as fellow cops. At the end of it, the one guy says "now that that's DONE", like, "whew, that annoying bit of business is over" with an attitude of a professional eye roll.
Bs. They didn't emphasize anything to him just because he's a fellow cop. Bingo. Not nice when the roles are reversed. Also, WHEN cops do get arrested for their misdeeds and lawbreaking, they are usually treated with kid gloves. They replied “not right now” so I said “Then I’m not going anywhere right now.” They continued; “we just want to talk to you…” I told them “So talk!” One of them actually read me Miranda then started asking questions- I say; “Oh, I’m not answering questions.” He looked confused and said “You just told us we could talk…?” I told ‘em “Yeah, go ahead and talk, but I’m not answering any damn questions.” If you could’ve seen their faces! 🤣🤣🤣

But logically - why should he? All his cop life, he has been used to cover for the crimes of other cops, and they have covered for him, so he always got away with it. Why should that change?
As a cop you’re supposed to uphold the law why do these mf think once they become one they’re above the law. He was expecting to do that to his gf and get away with it. That’s why he kept asking what was happening. Like dude get a damn lawyer or tell them what happened. I would NEVER date a cop🤦🏼♀️
Regardless of this persons innocence or guilt it's frustrating that they tell him he has the right to not answer questions but then tell him by not answering questions it's a lie by ommission 🙄.
Cops have full authority to lie directly to your face. Your rights are your rights, anything else they say you should assume is a lie. The lie by omission part is the lie and he fell for it.
Well, he's cherry picking his statement. It's even more frustrating to be told that you're getting the complete truth minus what makes you look bad. Lol. Withholding the truth is as good as lying, there is a difference choosing to not answer and not being much better than a liar. If you want to talk, talk. If not, lawyer up and shut up.
LMFAO, they gave him chance after chance to remain silent. When I was read the miranda rights, the officer immediately added at the end "if you decide to talk to me, you can't ask for a lawyer later on." That's really illegal, and the station chief was in the room during the interrogation. I turned to him and asked him what I was charged with. He refused to tell me until I told him if I would talk to him or request a lawyer. I asked him again what my charges were, he refused to tell me again. I said "Welp, sounds like a need a lawyer then" and the chief was shaking her head in a 'thank god he said that'....because she could tell I knew that was wrong...and while my lawyer said at most it would get the testimony thrown out, but because I remained silent, it doesn't matter. The officer did ask me 'You're requesting a lawyer' to clarify, because "sounds like i need.." isn't a flat request. I said "Yes. How long am I going to jail for?" and then they released me. IMO, it does matter, but I did end up walking on those charges. Controlled stop, and they let me walk because it was my car and they were after my passenger...though they did press multiple charges and threatened me with more if I didn't cooperate. I just remained silent aside from requesting a lawyer.
@@mrsilver8517 I saw that & at one point I heard one of them whispering. I surprised between the 3 of them they didn’t all come up with his girlfriend start the fire and burnt her own clothes & was going to put it all on him lol.

We are watching this because those cops actually had integrity in their profession. It is refreshing to see cops hold other cops to the same standards as civilians. He really thought he could make a "gentleman's agreement," but then we would never see this unfold.
This ex-cop is so frustrating to watch. He knows how these interviews go down, Why does he not just tell them straight from the start his side of the story. He caught his girlfriend cheating, of course, he's going to be mad, who wouldn't be in that situation. They were arguing, and he lost his temper and hit her, The cab driver has no reason to lie to the police in his statement, he did not know the couple and therefore, had no reason to lie. He should just hold up his hands and say, look, I caught her cheating and I lost it. He won't elaborate on some parts of his story, will only talk about what he wants to talk about. He cannot remember he says, he can remember he just does not want to dig a hole for himself. But this interview and how he is coming across, tells me he is guilty of assault.
People like him think they can out-talk and outsmart the consequences of their actions. He is too scared to face the jail time or repercussions of his poor actions to tell the truth.
He honestly just needed to shut up. Admitting that he did the wrong thing won't change anything because even if he declares innocence, he can still be presumed guilty. So he just needed to shut up and say nothing. He needed to wait for a lawyer to talk on his behalf but he was an idiot.
So a girlfriend cheated so he goes off. If a person cheats on you just be glad you didn't marry the cheater and end things and move on. Once a cheater always a cheater. Walk away

I've never been arrested. But if I do, read me my Miranda and gimme a phone to call my lawyer. Cops can THINK that makes us guilty but we have all seen too many innocents "TALK" themselves right into jail, and it's HELL walking that back. Love the content. Will 10/10 keep watching. It just baffles me that people don't understand this. Lol.
An innocent man would do two things: Proclaim his innocence clearly, vehemently and probably repeatedly…while contacting a lawyer. The end.

Yup.
I’m so glad to see this! I had a supervisor that accused me of something serious at my job. I am a very honest person and was very honest when she called me in her office to question me.
Start with when you woke up.”
It’s hard to proclaim innocence when they won’t tell you what you’re suspected of having done.

When a detective says "that part of your RIGHTS is the one I like the most...." blah blah blah, you should KNOW you're screwed.
And if you know ANYTHING, always ask for an attorney..although if he's guilty, I'm glad he didn't. (I'm 7 min in)
@@christina5kids16grands He's a drunken abuser. IMHO
To me it sounded like he was trying to protect his fellow officer by telling him to shut up lawyer up without explicitly saying so.
@@CryptoTonight9393 He's not a fellow officer. He's an EX-cop. Or what did I miss?
LOL love that part of your RIGHTS ! It’s my favorite like okay
In the beginning, he’s clearly trying to communicate to them that “hey, I’m a cop, can we do this off the record”.
With that in mind all his behaviors makes perfect sense.
We are watching this because those cops actually had integrity in their profession. It is refreshing to see cops hold other cops to the same standards as civilians. He really thought he could make a "gentleman's agreement," but then we would never see this unfold.
The bit where the one cop sincerely compliments the other’s analogy, who then sincerely thanks him for the compliment 🥲😭
Walk away
So he found his GF cheating and he hit her? Not cool at all but he's going to prison for that? Or does "hit her" mean beat the shit out of her?
Better yet, he should get an attorney...
How can you be a cop and still be so oblivious as to how this works lol wtfff?? This guys on par with a meteorologist that doesn’t understand what rain is.
question: are you doing what he is doing
personal opinion: only he KNOWS what he is doing...outloud yet i wouldnt dare bekieve his words (coughing) ACTION-take 1. overstand?
Ego
It's because he probably thought he was untouchable it's arrogance
Cops aren’t smart. Haven’t you realized this yet?
They are actually really dvmb as a whole….
Alcohol
Man it’s time to pull a Sergeant Schultz. I know nothing, I see nothing, I hear nothing, get my lawyer please thank you detective
It’s quite amusing the amount of times people being interviewed are told what they say won’t leave the room 😄😄😄
Pretty sure every interrogation starts with anything you say can and will be used against you. Can I get a time stamp on when they said what they discuss won’t leave the room?
I can honestly say it won't leave my living room 👍🙄👀
@@theultimaterental they said in the first few minutes it would only be stored in his case file 😆
@@helenagreenwood2305 And? Anyone knows that anything is case file is available for Freedom of information requests. How is that telling him it won’t leave the room? Also what about the court room?
@@theultimaterental you asked for a time stamp - that's what I gave you 🤷
The subtitles lol
“What do you call her?” “Mommy.” “And what is her real name?” “Superman.”
😂😂😂
The cop said “I’ve been doing this 24 years and never lied”--Hell,that’s all they do is lie.
I was just looking for some good long form content, love you guys!
Omg are you kidding me? I literally was complaining about how bored I was and was waiting on ewu but I have too many sugar daddies to be waiting for so long🤣🤣💀
4:06 So essentially I need you to let on how much you know and which lie you need to go with! No wonder he's an ex cop, he's to much of an idiot to hold down that serious of a job 🙄
The Star Wars analogy was the best analogy I have ever heard !!!….freakin brilliant!!!…
I love seeing a new upload! Love these videos. You can tell how much hard work is put into them
POS: “I don’t want my video showing up some place or..”
Detective: “it’s just for us”
Everybody watching this video on UA-cam: “👀” bahaha
You know, it took me a long time to figure out why it was that he was so obsessed with wanting to know whether he was going to jail regardless of whether he spoke to them or not. I think what he's actually fishing for is what they know. I would assume that when you find a suspect who is really concerned with what you know they're basically signaling to you that they're probably not innocent and there's something worth digging for.
Imagine your ex is mad at you and talking to the cops...would you wonder what she told them?
@@Dubinski2382 I suppose you have a point I guess it's just hard for me to imagine being so concerned about it if I knew that I was innocent my response would be to simply tell them what happened and pray to God that they believed my story you know screw what she said it seems to me that maybe someone would be really really concerned about what someone else said if it were true if it's not you just tell them what happened
"You're not a dumb ass..."
Biggest lie I've ever heard lol
Amazing how a working cop thinks two strangers are going to help him out. Folks, cops don't know the law. They only spend six months in an "Academy." Never talk to them without a lawyer.
An hour before this, they were all in the same team. He thought that the Blue line were protecting no matter what he did. Unfortunately, good cops don't like cops who commit domestic violence. These cops are definitely trying to protect him, and possibly at the expense of the victim. Would they have given a civilian the same suggestions get a lawyer?
Six months in academy and years and years of training on the job in the real world. Don’t be disrespectful. And. He is not a police officer anymore.
@@p.sherman3158 that man deserves no respect.
@@JeremiahLOsborne wasn’t referring to “that man” 👍🏻
@@p.sherman3158 You were tho. I know, you're allowed to lie.
He doesn't have the ability to remain silent.
People like him select their girlfriends (victims) very carefully.
"it just stays in the case file"
Idk how I've never thought of this before, but how does footage like this end up on UA-cam?
If it gets used in a court case it has been made public
FOIA for one. IDK if the case must be decided and defendant cleared or found guilty. DA and defense argue all the time about what evidence comes in or not, so good question.
@@maggieking6619 FOIA?
SS ; i just started watching your videos and I really enjoyed watching them , good interesting interrogations cases , and what I like too is the good quality SOUND !
Thank you for your time and dedication on doing the videos , keep up the good work !
"She was disrespecting me" ah yes, being angry about feeling disrespected, the dead giveaway of a horrible person.
Yep! 💯...my abusive X husband used to use the excuse "she pushed my buttons" in other words, I deserved his abuse and brought it on myself!
9 minutes in and I cant tell if this guy is drunk or stupid. He seems to think he's in charge of this process.
They smell alcohol on him. Why is he an ex-cop?
He’s a cop. So the latter applies…..he’s stupid. Aren’t they all?
I vote for stupid
i smell marijuana
"his full name has not been released" uhh and why the fuck not?
Because his interrogation isn’t just on the case file 😅
The douche bags name is Sam Dyer
It’s gonna show up here,on UA-cam for all of us waiting & watching 😂😂so a BIG TY for this upload 😂😂✌🏻
Every time I watch these, I can imagine each person being interrogated, sitting in their cell afterward, pacing and smacking themselves on the forehead, "why didn't I ask for an attorney?!? Why did I say anything!?!" Over and over again... 🙄
Cop:
"If you're just gonna arrest me, then do it."
Detective:
"We gotta hear your story!"
Also
"Stop prolonging this!"
🤣🤣🤣
👀Former longtime Victim Advocate here. Some of the worst DV cases I saw involved LEO. Not because of the frequency, but level of abuse combined with abuse of authority! There should be extra charges possible.
I'm glad these cops did the right thing, and didn't protect him just because he's a cop. Cause there is nothing worse than a violent abusive officer.
He feels entitled as a cop. He doesn't think he needs a lawyer..🤭
Yes! I bet in years gone by situations like this, a cop, allegedly commuting a crime, might be swept under the carpet.
Cops don’t cover for each other and even better he isn’t a current cop. Who knows how long ago he was a cop also.
He’s likely drunk
You described 95 percent of cops..lol.
@@p.sherman3158 What nonsense! Cops absolutely DO cover for each other! Not all of them but the examples of such behaviour are legion, cops beating on their wives, girlfriends and children and their "brothers in blue" look the other way or otherwise minimize the abuse when it gets reported. Years ago, my neighbor was dating a cop who beat on her. Everyone in the neighborhood saw it happen and she called the cops repeatedly, but they never did a thing about it. He always told his buddies that she fell down the stairs, she's a klutz and the usual abuser BS. And whether or not they believed him, he never saw a minute in in jail for the abuse. Any time she tried to leave him, she got closed fists to the face. I witnessed it myself and told the police when they responded what I saw. They never did a thing, always backed their own despite how obviously guilty he was.
14:50 even interrogation room ghost had enough of his BS, moved the chair and left..
Hilarious! I went back and watched it a bunch...as Scooby would say, "RUH ROH!"
