Thank you so much for this. I run an art group for people with mental health challenges and we're going to be painting some metal plants pots in this style - but I need to learn to do it first! Very informative and crucial so that we don't lose this style of painting.
Absolutley lovely thankyou for sharing you skills, I,m tying to get hold of some brushes can you please letme know where i can purchase the brushes & are your paints enamels? I love your work & colours you use.
A bit late I know but I use ProArte pointed writer number 4. also known as Rigger brushes, one stroke brushes can be purchased from Roemary and company.
Hi I’m really interested in starting this but can’t find brushes mentioned . Are paints certain type as looking to do on wall of caravan ? Can I use acrylic paints pls ? Thank u xx
Yes, you could but I use Enamel paints because they are hardwareing and flow easily. and most of all they dry quick. Proper paint like "Craftmaster" NOT HUMBROL!!
@@stuartgarfoot7358 Humbrol are good paints but I don't use them to paint Canal Art because the drying time is too long. Craftmaster make the best ones in my opinion and dry in 30 minutes.
It's a shame the person filming wasn't actually focusing on the work; some shots, the painting is completely hidden by the hand. It would be nice to watch the brush and see the actual technique.
Sorry about that. It was done on the spur of the moment literally .My partner just stood behind me and had never done it before...maybe I will do a dedicated video showing the strokes involved. Thanks for your comments. regards Stuart
