    You are absolutely freaking on fire! I know how you are and you will look that place until there is nothing else to find, but I am looking forward to seeing what you come out of there with.

    Hardest working creator on YT. Love the treasures, love the critters.

    Yahoo, another video at the river, and you found even more. With all the heat the water is a great idea in hunting artifacts. Aww, that sweet kitty, he is so happy laying in your lap purring and has been playing with his mouse toy. You are good with animals, and I really like that. Much love.

    you understand chert/ flint, connection , its so hard to explain to folks that they are so much the same , You Rock Rocks !

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  27 днів тому

      there is no sense to explain it. "Flint is simply a type of chert". Just formed under a little different circumstances. It all should be called chert where I am at.

    Wow! What a fascinating place. I think you're right. They were making all these tools there on that spot. Sometimes I wonder if the females made a lot of those scrapers and knives. They knew better than anybody. What would work good? The whole mystery of the thing keeps me coming back.

    I love to see those crude tools with part of the cortex there. That is a nice nutting stone. That hematite cobble is cool! I think that red jasper Amos point was the find of the day!

    That’s the biggest piece of hematite I’ve ever seen anyone find. That’s pretty cool !

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  26 днів тому

      Oh man....There are much bigger pieces in some of the creeks around here. I know where there are pieces the size of a watermelon

    HI Rocks, great vid as always. Question, did they ever make arrow heads with hematite ? if so have you found any that perhaps you could show, as that would have to be a mighty arrow if they did. Cheers

    • @rockscousteau
      @rockscousteau  26 днів тому

      I have a few made of it. some of the lower quality hematite can be chipped . I have never found a ground hematite arrowhead nor seen one. You would think they would have done that//...ground down some points of it.
