I had the same problem with the gilding for the Mary-El Tarot 2nd edition. It also removed surface of my cards when I tried to separate the cards. I think it’s because there’s extra gilding on the edge at the front and back resulting in the cards sticking together. I had to slightly trim the cards even though there were no borders to remove the gilding.

I might trim the borders off too. I think I would use it even more that way. It’s definitely the extra silver gilding!
Perhaps fanning powder could help with the sticky deck. I'm not sure but maybe worth a try...

Rub a dryer sheet over your sticking cards. They won’t stick anymore….
