I remember this night. The music was this clear. No overdubs. Oh they gave it to us that night. I loved every minute of this concert. Great album brings back memories.
I think this is one of the best vocal performances in gospel. Like EVER.....
Man!! You answered a question I had!! I've often wondered how many "good" vocals they were able to get after recording this! Typically it'll be about 60-70% good vocals and then you would have to go into the studio to do overdubs, but I believe you are right my brother...They were perfect man!! Unbelievable! That's why Pastor Kee has been the GOAT in my book, since '85!!!

@TEE STRONG- I believe your statement is incorrect. Charlie Wilson was using that line in Outstanding prior to 1998. In fact, it was used in the Gap Band's 1996 concert in Atlanta (which may have inspired John Kee to incorporate it).

There is real skill here, but there's also real skill with playing with/controlling stems. Technology doesn't just make things easier and more efficient. It also opens up new forms of creativity and innovation.
It really bothers me when people talk down on new concpets and practices in favor of things from the past; especially when those same things in the past were being talked about the same way in their time. For instance, there was a time when drums would be banned from a church.

@@andrewstaples8677 They using stems in this song though lolll.... Stems aint a new thing they been around long time and were used heavily in 80s music! So i don't know where all this resistance for stem tracks come from and it actually takes skill to stay on time with a stem track if ya didn't know! Ask a drummer that doesn't practice with stems to play with one and watch the disaster unfold before you eyes.

This video takes me back to my childhood when I was 7 years old Ladell had the killer look on his face and he killed on the drums, he's my inspiration always has been, I use to wear gloves as well when I played just because I am a huge fan of his! And of course Maurice Fitzgerald on the bass killing it! I've said it once and ill say it again this band was the musical dream team in the 90's.
