Thanks for the video just bought a Avata drone online and bought the case you featured in this video...Also bought some 3 bladed props that give a little more zip to the drone without having to switch out the motors...apparently
Question. I have the exact same case. Will the drone still fit in the case with the ribbed rider on it? Also did your foam have some black scuff marks on the blue? Just curious cause mine did. Thank you.
What about landing gear? Today i crashed my avata for first time. Darn small tree branch came out of nowhere and I hit it full throttle in sport mode. Luckily my drone has landing gear and it took all the damage. The avata miraculously was unharmed. Not even a tiny scratch or knick on it. I will have to replace that left landing gear assembly which Is in fact super easy and fast to replace and only cost 9 bucks on Amazon. I know the whole propeller guard assembly only costs 30 bucks on the dji store but it's more timely and complicated to replace vs the landing gear i got from Amazon. This landing gear i installed also makes it so that it can take off and land on rougher terrain like gravel without harming the components underneath the drone. Also prevents the drone from turning into a lawn mower if you have to land it in short grass
I bought an Anker 737 power bank and it charges 2 batteries in about 30 min. each for 135. If you have 3 batteries this seems to be a sensible investment....
2 things I DONT like about it...the added complication of it weighing over 250g and having to deal with Chinese customer service...otherwise, Id own one right now...
Nice video 👍 Working on getting to full manual on this drone, fpv cont 2 is on its way with the fly more kit, really thinking about getting a nd filter kit, your video pushed me closer to ordering them, do you have a affiliate link for the nd filters?
New subscriber here. Cool & informative video. I'm new to fpv & now have the Avata. I've been reluctant to update. Good idea on the 2nd phone but I thought you needed data. Great idea on the tracker/ finder! I'll be adding a few now.
are the charging plugs the same size as the original dji fpv drone from the battery plugs
No

I did a prop test. Check it out.
my favourite accessory is a right-angle usb cable to plug into the drone
normal usb cables dont do well squeezing between the propellers
Great idea
This dude really put a whole breafcase in his fish tank
Hell yeah I did.
Is it easy to pair the controller to the Avata?
Yes
Thank you

You have to take the ribbed riders off to fit in the case. I didn’t notice any scuffs.
@@HalfChrome is there a spot in the case for the ribbed rider?
Yes. They fit on top of the avata.

I found a shop that sells 8 propellers for 18$ 😂
The camera tilt on my motion controller doesn't work while in flight... Recalibrated controller, gimbal, to no avail. Please help.
Good list I have most of them already, I'm also not going to upgrade them with the Axis motors cutting wires and soldering is not my thing.
It’s a lot for sure
Your link to the fly more kit points to the DJI FPV drone kit, probably want to change that before someone orders the wrong one.
Thanks Mike
Good video. Thanks for sharing. Can you recommend a slim/hiking backpack that could fit both the Mini Pro and the Avata? Thanks again.
Slim? Can’t say I can recommend one. I did review a backpack that is great but it’s more of a standard size
Yahoo0000000000000... Thx Jacky boy
Mikey
Thanks Mikey!
Jack have you found any tuning that makes descending faster, have been filming hillclimbs and can't seem to follow riders down as fast as up.
I haven’t really tuned it
@@HalfChrome what camera angle are you running?
Depends on reason for flight. Typically 10-15 degrees but that’s mostly indoors
Is the fly more charger the same as the fpv fly more charger?
Anyone know if the prop guards reduce flight time?
Yes. They do a little bit.
Doesn't the mini 3 and 4 have a battery life of like 4p minutes?
Yes. They get close to 40 with extended battery
Where do you buy the controller 2 as it's non exsistant right now?
love the review. good video bc it is right to the point
Thanks
Nice video👍🏻
Can you live stream the Avata flight via cable on a telephone/tablet/or DJI RC Pro?
Great video Jack. Thank you for putting it together

If you live in europe they have a european customer service line
Great tips! Nr. 10 is surprising, but very true!
It is a little out of the box…
I’have flown drowns for 5 years and never replace props !!!
Then you don’t fly FPV
Yeah, true statement...
FPV is way more prone to crashing unless you fly like a pussy...
You never crash?
I crashed while reading this

Why tits for FPV battery on the link? Is its fine?
Tits?
The bigest upgrade will be if Dji find a solution to some serious flaws.
Nothing a software update can’t fix. It’s new give it time
@@wolfgang6469 exactly let’s just give it some time
No it doesnt allow you to charge up to 4 batteries at the time. Yes you can plug in 4 batteries, but only one is getting charged at the time..
Yes.
@@HalfChrome Yes What? :)
You are correct. It charges one. Then moves on to the next.
Waste of time
SD card really
Yes. It’s a PITA
Not helpful.
