heres a tip for combining it with a sawmill: If you're in some kind of situation where you need the planks to be funneled to the other side, dont place the sawmill in front of the cutter. Instead, place the sawmill under the conveyors leading it up to the cutter and reverse the conveyor receiving the cut wood. Then just connect both with some conveyors.
For me, the wood doesn't slide down the conveyer, but it presses the pressure plate. It just stays there. I've checked the direction and it goes the right way but it still won't work. Help?
My advice is to: Put the machine through a stress test, testing big and small logs, long and short as well as giving it an overwhelming amount of logs to test if its capable of organizing them, then rebuild it

It works really well, but it requires manual help, because the cut pieces get stuck and won't fall, it needs to be pulled to be unstuck(not a big problem since its easy to pull it) and for some odd reason, there is that one lava log piece that won't fit, not even in the largest sawmill : |

For anyone here having problems with wood falling down after being cut I just found a simple solution: Try moving the pressure plate away like half a width of a wire, but make sure it still activates the system, if you do it correctly the logs will fall down as they should.
it’s normal for that to happen occasionally. if it is happening very often, it’s possible you’ve built it wrong. First, make sure the funnel conveyor is toggled downward second, make sure the pressure plate isn’t placed wrong, it could potentially be slightly in front of the funnel conveyor (the funnel conveyor is what sucks the wood down) so make sure that the funnel conveyor is actually making contact with the loose plank. third, if that doesn’t work, try moving the funnel conveyor, pressure plate, signal sustain, and wires up ONE unit. you may need to move the chop saws out of the way temporarily, but keep them where they are (don’t move them up one stud) after moving just the funnel conveyor and pressure plate before placing everything back, verify that a plank running through the system will actually activate the pressure plate. if it doesn’t, maybe try moving it down two tiles by placing three tiles against the bottom of the funnel conveyor and destroying two, then placing the conveyor on top and then building the rest from there Hopefully that’s not too complicated or hard to follow!

Works decent but doing it by hand is probably better as you dont have to deal with clogs and overwhelming the system with logs (Its supposed to be able to handle an auto unloader so this is quite concerning) it also likes to pin the already cut logs to the pressure plate so it gets stuck and itll sometimes let to big pieces fall in and that fucks up the mills work so i have to deal with 2 clogs
i can't place the thin wall on the right, left works fine, i've done it 3 times already over and over, rebuilded the entire thing, but the right doesn't work for some reason
@@XmonkeyXnutsX I solved it by replacing the pressure plate with another straight conveyor and then I added a laser where the logs come in when the log is too long it will get stuck and will be cut after the log will fall down the laser will get triggered with every log I know that’s something I couldn’t solve but now it does work with me, and I meant higher, if you want to see mine you should join me sometime

Connect a wire from the pressure plate to a delay box then connect the wire to the “toggle direction” switch on the last conveyor and problem solved

@@moomoo8275 just place a wire on behind it then place another wire on it so that it is half out then finally place a tile and a plate on it
I just realized while trying to recreate this that it would be 500% easier to just use lasers, even if they aren't the cheapest solution.

The wood gets clogged between the pressure plate, do you have any solutions?

it doesn’t have to be ice wood, the only reason I used ice wood is because wood slides better due to its slippery property
