My dad loved A Little Love and Understanding when it came out, and bought the single. Gilbert Becaud seems to be making heavy weather of it in this, though.
@@pika23... I think it was still the case here and I don't recall when it ended, but from memory in my lifetime from the 60s onward, in those days, the event was split between the Queen and Queen Mother, they attended on alternate years, It also alternated between BBC1 and ITV each year. They were sometimes accompanied by other members of the royal family too, like Princess Margaret and/or others. If they were overseas or something of course other family members would attend instead. This being 1976, Diana and Charles did attend in the 80s, yes.
An absolutely wonderful piece of history. Fabulous, right and proper. Superb!
Quality entertainment.
Lena was 13 years old here wow what a talented young lady on the 4 November its her birthday would have only been 61years old, God bless her.
Great show and I like very much thanks you
Good old Ray Moore. The inventor of the bogged eyed jog. On Radio 2 before Terry Wogan in the mornings. A wonderful wordsmith. So sad he died young.
He can up with Airwick Gatport, as I recall!
Very impressed with Lena Zavaroni. What a talent
Such a shame she is almost forgotten today.
Sadly, she passed away some years ago. Rest in peace, Lena.
A tribute to a great singer who died too young.
thanks !

Good clean innocence, A Bygone era sadly never to return.
What was Max Bygraves’ gag about Parkinson and Sophie Tucker about?
Mike Yarewood - brilliant 😊
Can you upload the whole of the 1975 Royal Variety Show, please?
I'm sorry but I don't have it, but I feel certain that it is on UA-cam somewhere, I hope you find it.
Is Brucie in this??
So the royal variety wasn't attended by the Queen or Charles and Diana in the 80s?
