Hi! Typically, we file medical as primary if the provider is in-network with the medical plan. If the provider is out-of-network with the medical plan, and the medical plan has out-of-network benefits for oral surgery, that should also be filed as primary. We do recommend that both medical and dental benefits be verified prior to any procedures being performed. Our RCM experts are ready to hear from your dental business! @@joannemasterson1782 can you personally walk me through trying to get approval for oral surgery with reconstruction.. I kniw there's a way. I have guardian dental insurance and blue cross blue shield private insurance as well as medicaid because I'm currently on disability. My dentist said it would take 10 thousand dollars to save my remaining 18 teeth. I don't have that money. So I went to affordable dentures. They dont take insurance and said it would be 10 thousand for extractions and dentures. Ive had solid coverage for over 12 years and have seen my dentist regularly but my teeth are quickly failing faster than they can be treated. And even after expensive treatment, they fail quickly after. I have an appointment tomorrow for another consultant.
@@joannemasterson1782 This video was an eye opener and extremely informative. How can get the training I need to build a career in Dental billing? I've considered asking local dental office for training on a volunteer bases but after watching your video Idk if they'll consider my request. I've also searched for schools that offer dental billing courses but unfortunately there weren't any. I've only found dental assistants schools. Can you recommend and point me in the direction to learn hands on (a school that offers this course), everything and all I can to become a Dental Billing Specialist, and become qualified to apply for a position at Dental Claims Support. I'll begin by purchasing the book you recommended. Thank you. Disclosure: I've worked as a dental assistant for over 15 years, and ready for a change.
