Old jars for the screws with the lids screwed to the bottom of the wood shelves are very helpful. It will also free up more shelf space! Also, our garage gets packed with many things we don't want to look at, ugh!!

Hello your gardens and property looks so different from when you moved in you guys are doing such a great job 😊 you're not garage is such a wonderful spot! Tools and garden stuff. As soon as you get your shop organized put a bench or table at the door for drop offs. I am very organized and build a lot of but after a busy day building something I use that table to drop off whatever I have in my hands and then put it away when I have time. So I do understand the need for organization but I understand myself too and it doesn't always get put back on the wall right away😊 Very good potato harvest for the first year our new property👍 I love the little tiny potatoes with peas and cream and heated up together, need to try 😁. You guys are doing a wonderful job. You and your kids are going to have great memories ☺️
What I really admire about your vlogs is that you don't exploit your children for views like so many other family vloggers do. They are in your videos but you value their privacy and don't reveal personal details about their lives. I have stopped watching vlogs like that as it feels invasive. Your main focus is the work you do on your property and the children are there in the background. A perfect balance. An example is that you didn't share the time with your visiting family, that was your private time. I love your vlogs, make me feel calm and serene. Thank you.
John, you are a creative and sometimes (often) it is hard for a creative to keep things tidy. That is just not how your mind works. I admire your efforts to bring organization to the Not Garage as it will make your lives so much easier in the long run. Smart move to bring someone in to help. You also might find that there are people in your lives who LOVE LOVE LOVE to organize and who would truly enjoy helping you guys out. I know those people exist because I am one of them. Tackling a project like your Not Garage would bring a joyful smile to my face similar to the one Tara had on her face when she thought the focus for the day was to lift potatoes. John, you’re a creative soul, and not an organizer. I’m an organizer, and haven’t a creative bone in my body. We just need to appreciate who we are. I love watching you build things, and seeing how you solve a problem that I can’t get my head around.
You could if you wanted screw jar tops to the underneath of the shelves, fill the jars with all sorts of little bits like screws etc and turn them into the tops. This makes it very easy to see what you have as well as giving you space. Let me know what you think if you have the time of course.
John is so caring and understanding of Tara’s emotions. He understands her and was willing to forego the non-garage for the potato project where Tara’s mind was. It was a good compromise; potatoes were picked & sorted and the non-garage was sorted partially. I got to say, again, the joy that it is to see your interactions with Cruseo. Lovely! ❤ Must admit, that each time I saw the non-garage, I wanted to be there to sort it out and organize it for you. It was difficult to find anything in there! Wonderful. I look forward to your next vlog.
Crusoe has matured so much in the last few months! His language skills have bloomed!!!! I'm sure you're both cherishing each moment. Thank you for sharing him with us. Sawyer just gets cuter! If you have some dried beans you might heat them, dry, and pour them into a cloth bag and apply the bag to John's shoulder. It makes a wonderful heating pad for being "off the grid".

I was a mother of 3 helped my Sister with her 3 children when she became a Widow when her husband died very young. I also cared for many other kids over the years of my life. Luce is absolutely amazingly smart, beautiful, intelligent, and she possesses the kindest spirit I ever seen in a baby. This shows what good parents you both are and you are teaching her so well. I’m a grandmother and a Widow, I live with my 21 year old Grandson who treats me so kindly. He gifted me me a Chiwinnie Dog who goes everywhere with me. The joy of having a creative brain is seeing beyond borders of any kind. Tidying is creating borders, isn't it? But sorting things out is getting all kinds of new inspiration. Different roads lead to Rome. That is why it is great having a partner who balances out the other one. 😊 It is so great btw, seeing how much your vegetable patch has giving you in only your first year! (What would you possibly dó with 93 bags of 30kg of potatoes!! 😮)

I find it so interesting how everybody is different. I can’t do anything when there’s a mess around. Clutter is all I see and I can’t focus on completing anything. John’s explanation makes such sense for his type of work strategy. I love how we are all so different in how we approach things. BTW, I like the “shorter” 25-30 minute videos. If they’re long I tend to scroll through and no doubt miss good content. Sometimes when UA-camrs make longer videos I don’t watch them because I can’t stay focused long enough or devote that much time to watching. That’s just my perspective. You guys do what works best for YOU. We love you guys and your content is always top shelf!
Just a suggestion, that leaf blower and other long items you could have them hanging on the wall so that they don't become tripping obstacles. I think it's a good call that you get help with the rest. You are doing a great job with your entire property. It's amazing!

My late husband was so organized and since his sudden passing I have been so grateful to be able to easily find whatever I need to repair things around the house. I used to laugh inside about how much time he spent in the garage and basement mini workshop just organizing his stuff. Now I’m so glad he did.❤️ We actually waste time and money when we aren’t organized, I wish you luck LOL!

So well done, and somehow please take a little break, now and then, however short, as you mustn’t burn out. I know this is silly advice as you’re doing so much AND RAISING 2 precious little boys at the same time! Loved the potato harvest, did the same thing once upon a time, mostly got purple spuds! so satisfying. Dreaming of mashed potatoes & sausages! Crusoe is delightful, learning so much being with you, & gorgeous baby who’ll soon be into everything! Little by little, step by step, would one episode a week be enough to exist on? I was a mother of 3 helped my Sister with her 3 children when she became a Widow when her husband died very young. I also cared for many other kids over the years of my life. Luce is absolutely amazingly smart, beautiful, intelligent, and she possesses the kindest spirit I ever seen in a baby. This shows what good parents you both are and you are teaching her so well. I’m a grandmother and a Widow, I live with my 21 year old Grandson who treats me so kindly. He gifted me me a Chiwinnie Dog who goes everywhere with me. I find it so interesting how everybody is different. I can’t do anything when there’s a mess around. Clutter is all I see and I can’t focus on completing anything. John’s explanation makes such sense for his type of work strategy. I love how we are all so different in how we approach things. BTW, I like the “shorter” 25-30 minute videos. If they’re long I tend to scroll through and no doubt miss good content. Sometimes when UA-camrs make longer videos I don’t watch them because I can’t stay focused long enough or devote that much time to watching. That’s just my perspective. You guys do what works best for YOU. We love you guys and your content is always top shelf!

My late husband was so organized and since his sudden passing I have been so grateful to be able to easily find whatever I need to repair things around the house. I used to laugh inside about how much time he spent in the garage and basement mini workshop just organizing his stuff. Now I’m so glad he did.❤️ We actually waste time and money when we aren’t organized, I wish you luck LOL!
