I have to say, even if you're a beginner, your half pirouette came out beautiful, you look great💓 Just remember that everyone has their own rhythm. you are doing great!!!🎉
I love seeing people starting ballet. One quick tip (coming from someone who dances ballet for 20 years): don't store your flats in a plastic bag or at least keep them outside of it for a few hours after training. Else they will smell really bad and too much washing will ruin them faster, so more expensive. I usually just throw my shoes in my bag but there are also really cute cotton bags out there that will let your shoes breathe. I wish you all the best and lots of fun on your ballet journey 💞
@@diorrgirly no you really don’t need experience! I really do recommend starting! I had a few months before my classes started so in those months I did some stretches every single day and that really helped me, so if you’re debating starting (which you totally should start) I recommend starting doing some stretches! I liked looking up videos on UA-cam stretches that would best help with ballet specifically, just don’t over do it of course, I really hope you decide to start! Good luck ❤️❤️❤️
hi im a ballet dancer of 9 years and i love to see people restarting or starting ballet for the first time, i just want to point out that ballet isn’t all about aesthetics. ( also i hope i don’t sound rude, i mean this all in the nicest way! this also isn’t aimed towards you i’m just putting this message out there.) i feel like a lot of the people who are starting/restarting ballet are very into coquette (which is obviously fine, me personally i dress coquette and love the style!) but some people kind of take it too far and buy pointe shoes when they are definitely not ready or have little to no ballet training/experience. a lot of people romanticize it to a certain point that its very odd, and like i mentioned i have danced for a long time and seeing this is kind of sickening. for example “ballet-core” isn’t accurate, and is a heavily romanticized version of real ballet. ballet isn’t just an “aesthetic” or “coquette” it’s an art form, a very physically and mentally demanding one! and again this isn’t directed towards you (i love your content so much, and like i said it makes me happy to see others starting!) , but for those who think ballet is “cute” or “coquette” please do some more research. yes ballet has dances like “the nutcracker” where everything is sparkling and fun, but there are also dances conveying a emotional message and has a deep story behind it, like “swan lake”. also not to mention all performances are very demanding to the dancer, so yes it is definitely an honor to dance as odile in “swan lake” but it is a very difficult and challenging role (especially if you’re dancing both odette and odile). so again, ballet isn’t just “pink ribbons, frills, roses, “ballet-core”, (etc), it’s also about art and emotion. i’m sorry if i offended you or anyone else! this is just my opinion and i wish you the best with your ballet journey!🩷🩰
As a beginner ballet dancer I definitely agree with this, I do see a lot of people starting ballet when they aren’t even necessarily passionate about dance they just want to be cute and coquette and just end up giving up or not taking it seriously after just a few months or years. But, as long as you truly are passionate about dance and this specific form of dance anyone is fit to do it :)
Beginners also remember that everyone has their own pace and it's okay if you feel sad (or a simple bad feeling without affecting other people who are on points or receiving compliments) and that your mental health comes first! There is never the wrong age to start ballet and no one is broke or dances "badly" we are all learning. (the people who are dancing on pointe are neither better nor worse than you, no one is above anyone else, we are all learning after all.) Take care of yourselves, please and don't do anything hidden from your teachers (SERIOUSLY, YOU CAN GET SOMETHING BAD and if the teacher treats you badly, it's okay to change. The good thing is that you feel comfortable, and communication with a teacher who respects you is always good.)
Totally agreed. I’m a thirteen year old ballerina on pointe, and I remember all hard work I put into getting my pointe shoes. I know quite a few people who did ballet when they were five or something and pretend like ballet and pointe is so easy. (I know they’re lying, I’ve seen it for myself) It’s almost like there throwing all my hard work in the bin and saying I’m worthless. (No hate to these people, I just find it particularly annoying when these comments are made) It also frustrates me when people act like ballet is a cute sport for little children and ignore all the hard work it takes to be a ballerina.
Yes i agree, i have been in ballet for 7 years and it is a very painful and emotional journey, i have cramps all over my body after ballet class. Not to mention it is a very expensive and demanding sport that abuses your body in many ways.
@@L6ofxz211 bro ballet core and coquette are different and even the people who use it as a style know its a physical art cause it is drawing inspiration from ballet the sport
Its all cute and fun until it turns to pointe shoe pain. Also ballet fits you perfectly. (I would also recommend getting a leotard if you dont have one). Have a nice ballet journey
