Hey, did you see how Adya caught his flow of thoughts amping up into emotion and nipps it in the bud. Right at the start of the video. He allowed himself enough silence to stop that steam carry him away out of control. Here is the actual example of how he does what he's talking here about. So cool
@@pineapplehat4967 yes, and Adya, the body mind didn't rebel, feel ashamed, react in any different way, but surrendered to awareness of the moment. Unless the awareness of the moment alerted him that he needs to come down not to appear undesirably. But still, the mind was under guidance of awareness. Which is the point. Imagine what it would be like if we went around talking like that 🤣
Zen master Richard Rose referred to that resistance you mention as "irritation". He taught that looking at irritations instead of avoiding them is a great way to learn about self-beliefs you're holding on to. "Why is this bothering me?" , "What part of 'me' is bothered by this?" , "Who actually is bothered?"
This nondual realisation was such a huge relief from all struggle of ego, and from so much pressure and suffering, but also the drive has fallen away. At some point it felt somehow dry and not connectable with other people anymore. (Only for the ego of course). A huge amount of enery arose, with which "I" also found the way "back"... but I feel there is no (ego)drive to gain something anymore. Only if life forces me to change I listen and adapt... Also feels as if I'm too tired of fighting for ego goals, what motivated me to follow this path in the first place. There was no other option. Seems how you explain it: Have to find the ballance now. Thank you so much for your help. Your words allways resonste very deeply. 🙏 ❤❤❤❤
4:54 guilty as charged :) I am so grateful for these (always sychronicitous) reminders thank you Adya and Open Gate Sangha for "holding the frequency"! I am here to witness and embody the signal to lean into the elusive truth of the moment to tune into the elusive beat of the moment
@Adyashanti what do you think about the external world situation? Is it possible to survive if we choose to remain peaceful inside... in other words is divine intervention possible or just a pipe dream?
Hey. You don't need divine intervention. You can train your mind to relax and live a long and happy life like a turtle. There's absolutely no reason why you should become a lion trainer if you don't own lions

You're exactly right. Not even that he did it but it happened to that body mind in the time it was needed.

Can somone please explain what he meant when he said : "and ruthless" 2:32.
Honest & truthful to the core is what i was thinking
@@happylifeSteph thanks! I always interpertate "ruthless" as something negative so i got confused
