Thanks for the video, Jeff. That's going to be one beautiful plant once it grows bigger and spends more time in a high light area and gets more varigation like the last two leaves have as you mentioned. Good night!
Your Pothos is a Hawaiin Pothos. I have one myself. Last Winter it had a little yellow on it. This Spring, I put it out in a bright/shade area. The new growth came out with a bunch of golden leaves. It loves to be in the Sun for a little while. Thanks for sharing.

Very good video. Good idea making your own moss/burlap pole. Cant wait to see the growth. We have them growing wild outside here in Florida and the ones going up trees have huge leaves at the top.
My mom has a golden pothos that already had the moss pole in it when she bought it and it has huge leaves. She's notorious for killing every plant she gets lol so I've been making sure this one stays alive. Mine don't have those Big leaves because all mine are vining, but I think they're so pretty like that. Like a waterfall of leaves.
Hi Jeff, it's Adele. Hope you had a great weekend. Nice 🙂 video. Even though I prefer the smaller leaves as a vining plant. Keep up the good content. 🌟
I have a Hawaiian, it’s leaves are as big or bigger than my hand. I will definitely be using your suggestion for using burlap instead of Moss on a pole. Moss can be pretty messy and I don’t like the way it looks. Thank you.
Hi Jeff, another great video. A friend gave me some pothos cuttings with established roots that I hope to do this with. After watching a checked the roots and a fair number are dark, not white. They seem firm, but since I’ve never done this before I’m not really sure. Should I remove them and if the remaining roots are puny wait until more grow?
Great video thank you! I’ve been looking for plastic/pvc free alternatives to moss poles and this is my favourite one. How did it fair over the year? Did the roots grow into the burlap? Could you still cut the plant to propagate relying on the roots growing in the pole? I’d love to know. Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching my video... This is actually a fairly old video now. I do have a number of plants on wood planks. Unfortunately the roots only anchor on the wood whereas if you use moss then the plant can obtain moisture and nutrients from there as well. The burlap does not act like the moss pool wood for aerial root growth. It mainly acts as a support stake for the plant growing upright.
What is the best burlap to buy for this project? There are so many different ones…….”tight” weave, “open” weave, “poly” burlap. Can you please tell me which one you used? Did you get it at Michael’s?

That spray bottle looks like it's got some good pressure, can you link it please?
Yes, I love that spray bottle. I got it from Walmart for like 4 dollars lol
Will you continue to keep the burlap moist? Or just until the plant is established?
It has been more dry then wet, but I have been trying to remember to lightly mist it.

Hey Sue.....let those roots grow as long as they aren't rotting.
@@EverythingPlants Thanks, they aren’t mushy so I will let them grow. Yours always looks so thick and white.
Great idea!!Does the wood rot eventually?
Eventually, but I'll probably have to repot before that happens anyways. You can always place it outside of the pot as well.
What I found as important as a pole is very bright light to enlarge leaves.
Yes! As long as you slowly add in brighter light then you shouldn't have any issues.

I will definitely make your type of poles. My way is to messy
Thanks for sharing Grace!
How to keep the pole from falling down or tilting down.
Because is Indoor plant we don't water it often. The pole holds on to if the soil is quiet wet
I just place it all the way to the bottom of the pot. It's a bit wobbly but holds up okay
How do you make pothos leaves become large? Probably you can do a video on this in the future.
Hello. You have to allow them to grow upwards like on a wood plank or moss pole.
Fabulous💚
Thanks so much!
Can you make a moss pole with coco peat?
I don't see why not!!! Give it a try.
No pencil was harmed in the making of this video. Toy car however...

Hello and good morning!
When you you stake your pothos. I have two golden queen.
Don't use a wooden stick for the moss pole. It will rot and break in the wet soil after awhile. Use pvc for the moss pole.
I used materials that I currently had on hand. Thanks for the suggestion and will definitely get PVC for future projects.
I put polycrylic on the ends of my wooden dowels to avoid this problem. It seems to be working well.
