The guard points going into savage axe mode were just *chefs kiss 🤌. I'm new to CB. Are you pressing R2 during the animation right before the monster makes contact?
@@FlowMH I'm on pc but I use controller for mh. Since I've seen this video I've been trying my hardest to do the guard point before savage axe but it's soo haaard 😩
@@bubby1668 It really is! It helps if you practice on a monster you are used to hunting. From there on, make a habit of it to SGP to whatever attacks its possible on and you'll be able to apply it to other monsters more easily :)
I'm a super new to this series and picked the charge blade because I love it mechanic and sound design. When I tried it tho i was super clueless. But after my first like 8 hours? With a veteran friend to help me figure things out. I think I'm in love with this weapon. Also great gameplay, great movements love your vids been watching them nonstop keep er going mate.
I don't play on Xbox so I can't give you the exact button name, but it can be performed by pressing the same button as when you would charge your blade (haha get it). Keep in mind you can only perform this after a shield bash, sword slash attack, or a sidestep, and you can slide into any input direction.

holy shit the clip at 4:15 is an entire anime sequence
why beta headpiece when alpha headpiece gives 3 guard? similar for coil, you build more easily as a result of splitting the 4 slots
