Hello, how would I do this so I don't have the extra strings at top like say this coming off one string. Trying to make flower pedals sept and those on the piece of wood is not working for a large pedal. The string around the stick I could use dangling down to use on back side towards the bottom. I might have just figured it out.. lol

How do I work out how much cord for my pattern I usually do between 3mm -4--5mm thickness I know it is best to have to long than not enough.
How was the final length of this project?
