For everybody who feels bad now: The enemys have about 1/3 of the health compared to playing with 3. Doesn't make this worse, but not everybody who can't make it with 3 sucks ^^

for those who wondering about sword combos. Max damage combo: (air) R1 + R2 -> cancel (grounded) R1 + R1 + R1 add an R2 attack at the end of the full combo if you have Exotic sword. for someone it is difficult to cancel from an air combo into the grounded state. practice. hint: you must do your cancel as late as possible and be as lower as possible to the ground.
So, this is the first video I've seen of yours, and I just wanted to say thank you for displaying the little air combo with the sword because I actually make use of that from time to time now that I know it's possible. It's pretty handy when applied properly.

I spent 3 hrs trying to do this with my team. tried to burn the boss as much as we could at the start with supers and heavies, but once the enemies spawn we get screwed. can't leave the entry room without getting blasted to death, and peeking out to kill the boss just gets you blinded by his stupid wave attack. and when the axion darts follow you everywhere. then I see slayer do this. he walks in, burns the boss at close range with a sword. hardly any enemy targets him. then he dies, uses super, and burns the boss again, but again with hardly anybody shooting at him. yet again he dies and uses syn. goes out and burns the boss 1 more time. enemies don't even touch him. Wtf man. slayer is god mode confirmed

How would you feel if all the work you put into something that you thought absolutely needed teamwork to complete could be beaten solo or straight up cheesed? Also he didn't say he hated people that solo encounters. He only doesn't like those that cheese or nuke encounters exclusively. All he said was that things like Raids should not be possible to be soloed as it defeats the entire purpose of it in his opinion. Not that he hates people for doing it. Hell he's soloed Crota's End and called it a decent challenge so he doesn't condemn it. Just says that it shouldn't be possible. Besides, Datto wouldn't say anything about this one for two reasons. One, I'm fairly certain he knows sc slayerrage and what he's all about. He's known for pushing things in Destiny to the limit and Datto does his own challenge runs too. It'd be very hypocritical of him to say that he would hate people who do this when I'm sure he'd likely try it too. Two, this isn't cheesing or nuking anything. This isn't something that would fall under that criteria. He still did everything required by the mission, which is kill all enemies in every room within the time limit. And while you could argue that he did nuke the boss, you kinda have to even in fireteams because you're on the clock. And the mission doesn't even end there anyway when killing the boss so it makes no difference whether you nuke him or not.

Yep. Took me about a dozen tries with 3 different groups. Got so close so many times, including losing with 1 add left twice. Finally got two of my clan mates with the exotic swords to help. One of which was 303 light. That kind of made it a joke. Finished with 3 minutes left.
Gotta switch to gun, melee for flame shield and go back to sword for a few extra hits and jump back. Also melee, melee, jump slash, melee melee and if get the timing right it's a never ending series of slashes. So much fun to be able to take down champions using the sword right.
