You must learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript at the very base. And then pick either Angular or React and learn one framework well.
For example, in Angular, you should be able to talk about Routing, AuthGuard, Services, Components, Pipe, Subscribe, Promise .... etc.
When it comes to getting a Front End UI developer role in Top companies you need to be really good at JavaScript. Most of the interviews at these companies would require you to be able to write JavaScript code during the interview process.
For example, they may give you a small problem and expect you to solve it by writing code in JavaScript and it would be a video conference call.
If you are ready for that then you have a good-paying job ready for you. :)
But to get to the interview you should have a good portfolio for which you should develop some good websites either as a FreeLancer or for a company.

As of today, React is slightly more popular than Angular. But, angular is catching up. It will become like Java vs .Net. Both are good programming languages but how good are you with either one matter much more.

Honestly we love Angular but real answer depends on your background and your location.
If you are in California, USA or around that area I would say React but if you are in New York, USA then Angular more for banks etc
