    maybe the best Australian open ever?

  • @gherbihicham8506
    @gherbihicham8506 10 років тому +6

    Probably the most fun Tennis tournament i have ever watched , the final was amazing and that Nadal vs Verdasco semi was one of the best of all times ,Tsonga vs Blake Federer vs Berdych ,Roddick vs Djokovic before Djokovic retired it was quite a tournament ,never seen a single tournament that came close .

    • @gherbihicham8506
      @gherbihicham8506 8 років тому

      Roshan Sreedhar Not really , apart from the 2012 final which was nowhere near the quality of the Federer vs Nadal final or the Verdasco vs Nadal semi final , i didn't see any matches that were that good , even the 2013 OA was better than the 2012 one.

    • @gherbihicham8506
      @gherbihicham8506 8 років тому

      Roshan Sreedhar .Seriously !!!the 2012 Ao final the greatest match ever ??????? it's not even the greatest in AO , I can name atleast 5 matches in the last 10 years that were far better , and seriously did you even watch the 2008 Wimbledon final match between Nadal and federer ?

    • @gherbihicham8506
      @gherbihicham8506 8 років тому

      Roshan Sreedhar The only thing that made the 2012 AO match stand out was the endurance part and the fact that it lasted a little under 6 hours nothing more .
      With that being said and since you are blowing the 2012 AO match out of it "great" context i think it's pretty important right now to point out that the Wimbledon 2008 final is widely regarded as the best match of all time by the fact that many tennis analysts ,former and current tennis players agree on that , these things are always subjective but popular opinion tends to stand by what i'm saying .
      btw i never heard anyone before you say that the 2012 OA final is the greatest match ever , it was a great match but i find that the Djokovic vs Wawrinka matches in the AO 2013 and 2014 respectively were better .

    Yeah that was an unbelievable shot. That and the point between Federer and Nadal with Nadal hitting that unbelievable forehand winner up the line both left me with my jaw dropped in my lap.

    Federer is brilliant no doubt, I'm a fan of him too. But I reckon Nadal has improved so much over the years and I personally think he is a better player when they are playing each other. His top spin is just a lethal weapon against Federer. Nadal has won more matches head to head. I got to admit that they are definitely the two best players in the world by a clear mile!

  • @captainbryce1
    @captainbryce1 14 років тому

    @Ugerflagle I agree. He needs to hit flatter shots than he does now (especially off his forehand) and also go for sharper angles and more depth in his shots. It seems like all he does now is roll the ball back to the middle of the court waiting for his opponent to make a mistake. After 2005 his forehand which used to be one of the best in the world become only a mediocre forehand and his strategy went from baseline attack to counter-punching which doesn't suit his abilities at all.

    Cmon FO had good matches, just look at Federers series of matches, how he got his ass off trouble against Acasuso, and being 0-2 and 1-2 sets down in next rounds. Also Hewitt coming back from 2 sets down against Karlovic.
