Mine too, been a regular sight on my Royal Mail round for 14 years now and they also come into town so I get to watch them at work and at home as well 😎
Same here, been seeing 10’s of them, they’re actually starting to fight each other and you can regularly see them having scuffles with crows. The other day I actually saw a group of around 7, which is rare, as they’re very solitary.
I live in Belgium and I see them every time when I drive up to Luxembourg and back. Nowadays, there are a lot of them in the hills of the Ardennes. Majestic birds. They always make my day. Beautiful footage with an excellent choice of music!
We have a pair who live close to us. Just saw one of them gliding over as I was standing in the garden with the chickens. I marvelled, the chickens ran for their lives.
10 years ago if I saw one of these I would keep watching it until it was out of sight, these days I can see one from my back door pretty much any time of day. Such a pleasure.
These are an amazingly common sight in Bucks (I live in Aylesbury) - I can see one out of my window now, but lovely to see them close up, which we rarely do!
We have a couple of pairs in our area, delightful to watch....I saw one take thermals up, so high that it was just a dot, all without flapping more than a couple of beats...the video is lovely, and I particularly liked being able to see the wonderful tail in action, it is so key to the soaring flight, and this detail is invisible to most of us "ground-dwellers"!
Spectacularly beautiful birds. They were native here in Ireland but went extinct in the 19th century and have only been reintroduced to the country in the last two decades. I'd love to see them in real life!
Hi Rosie, they are not "beasty" like many other birds of prey. In fact they are very friendly birds, who normally get stressed by others. I never have seen a red kite beeing agressive. They are my favourites and i watch them for years in my backyard. Here live many of them and they are breeding next too each other. They are very light and loose against bigger and stronger ones, often they leave the field. But you are right, they are real acrobates and beauties :) greetings from germany
Amazing creatures. Used to seeing them often in the countryside but recently (for the last 3 days) one has been flying over my housing estate, mostly during the day !
Yeh I've just been to reading in the UK and I saw a least 20 of these birds just flying about I'd never seen anything like it especially just flying around people's homes lol their huge!!
I get to see these every so often where I live. One was hovering over my house for a good 15 minutes on my Birthday, which was awesome! Considering I live in quite an urban area of Hampshire, I get to see a very large variation of birds such as the Honey Buzzard, Sparrowhawk(2 landed in my garden at different times, one because it was shredding a small bird and another because it got blown in by gale force winds lol it was fine, uninjured.), Red Kite, Peregrin Falcon, Goshawk and I've also seen a Barn Owl. The Barn Owl was quite the adrenaline rush, as I was walking home from a late night shift at work and had my head down listening to music. I was walking next to a large farmers field and saw a small shrew or mouse or something run between my legs, I looked up and I was face to face with a Barn Owl in full flight. Scared the life out of me! LOL.
they are magnificent, one of if not my favourite bird of prey i love seeing them use their big tails as rudders in the air so acutely, it's really highlighted in moments of this video awesome footage!
In the ten years that I’ve worked at my current job, seeing a kite has gone from an incredibly rare treat, to a daily occurrence. Now it is normal to see multiple in the sky many times a day. A wonderful thing to see.
I was at my cousins' house in Slough just over 10 years ago and one flew right over my head as I was putting stuff in the car. And really low flying too, about the height of the upstairs window! It was amazing! They live in the Heathrow area too
Congratulations! Stunning images! I love red kites, and in the region where I live (Molise, Italy) there are a lot, and it's not difficult to see them soaring over town buildings. There is one often flying over my house...beautiful!
Favourite bird in England, these are massive birds up close, can only imagine how much larger Eagles are in comparison. A shame we don't get eagle's in England
Witness a red kite in my Street on bank holiday Thursday while I was mowing my front lawn, 4 crows were ganging up on it and harassing it , chasing it at low level across the road10 foot off the ground , spectacular site to see so close up , I've seen this battles over my house before , usually high up in the sky, not at ground level
I've just been to reading in the the UK and I saw loads of these birds flying about I've never seen them before and I couldn't believe the size of them...
I have seen one for the last three days flying nearby, today it flew close for five minutes then flew over the rooftops and I could look right under its body and wings. Edge of Dartmoor National Park area.
A very nice video. As others have said they’re getting more and more common around southern England. That’s thanks to John Paul Getty successfully reintroducing them at his estate in Stockenchurch. They’ve slowly spread out from there. I believe they’ve been reintroduced in other parts of Britain since too.
magnifique vol du milan bravo sur la vidéo on observe bien le pivotement de sa queue pour l'orientation du vol ...sublime ! merci pour se super partage. bienvenue sur ma chaîne nature et ornithologique amitiés Françoise
Even I see them daily u know in our township many peigons, when they all see the kite they go back of the kite and one time I saw it from only 20 meters
Hi, thank you so much for your beautiful video! Could you give me permission to use a segment of your video for a bird presentation I’m doing for friends and family via zoom? I won’t repost on UA-cam or any other digital platform, it’s simply to share screen for others to watch. I want to point out the tail of a hovering raptor and how it’s constantly at work. This video captures that beautifully! My presentation is non-commercial and I would keep your sticker on the video. I hope to get a reply from you soon :)
My dad was bulidng at a house and the kite saw a tractor with a snake in its claws and threw the bleedin snake into the tractor to chop it up and then ate the bits he has pictures of it hehe
So beautiful. My favorite bird of all time. So elegant in flight. So stunning to see them flying above.
Mine too, been a regular sight on my Royal Mail round for 14 years now and they also come into town so I get to watch them at work and at home as well 😎
Awsum
A pair have taken to my local area, I see them soaring above the village most days. It's always a treat, they're beautiful birds.

I'm almost reduced to tears.

Gorgeous raptor. Excellent footage.
This was lovely. Great shots, great accompanying music and a wonderful showreel. Thank you.

Wow, beautiful video! Perfect music choice. What a beautiful bird of prey, so graceful.

Amazing footage!
I see many of these in Bedfordshire whilst walking the dog over fields. Their cry is so haunting. How wonderful it must be to fly
I hear and see them in Luton. They are amazing.
So true the call is almost lamenting. Thankfully around the Chilterns in Tring I see them all the time and I smile
So many in the midlands
This is great to read as when I emigrated from UK in 87 the Red Kite habitat was in Wales only
Such a majestic bird. Loves their calls too!
I live in Skåne the southern part of Sweden and it is so nice to see those birds high up in the skies
I think I saw one tonight on my evening walk. Was just stood there awestruck watching it fly. So beautiful and graceful.
Beautiful movie. Great close-ups.
A pleasure to look at.
Have a nice weekend.
Spectacularly beautiful birds. They were native here in Ireland but went extinct in the 19th century and have only been reintroduced to the country in the last two decades. I'd love to see them in real life!
That was amazing to watch I had to watch it again..., and I've sub you... Have a lovely day and love all birds
With a clear capture like this, you really understand how powerful and terrifying these beasts are. Beautiful.

It was a public breeding programme, might have started on Getty's land but they've spread since then...!

❤️
Amazing movie fantastic something beautiful I'm impressed. With what camera did you do it?
This video was done with my EOIS 1DX Mark2, which has got Dual Pixel AF.
I use 4k 60fps and calculate down to FullHD with 25 fps
can I use for music video. I will provide link to your video.
I feed this guy's all the time
My dad was bulidng at a house and the kite saw a tractor with a snake in its claws and threw the bleedin snake into the tractor to chop it up and then ate the bits he has pictures of it hehe
where are these clips taken?
so what family class are they... eagle or hawk family... brahminy kite sometimes called red back eagle.. eventhough its clearly a kite
They are from the family ‘Accipitridae’, which includes Eagles and Buzzards.
They are more beautiful than black kites, but sadly only black kites living in my city
what with the thumbs down
misclicked :)
Dislike for music added
