"FL Studio is perfect for beginning musicians", "it has got a really good GUI", "it is intuitive for beginners", "FL Studio has a steep learning curve" ! Aren't the first three comments contradictory to the last one ?!
All DAW's have a steep learning curve. Music production has a lot of moving parts and a lot to learn! Even though the first three are true, that doesn't mean it won't take a lot of time to get comfortable producing music!
Admittedly, I know next to nothing about DAW's(which is why I'm watching this video)....but....I probably wouldn't include a DAW with a steep learning curve in a video listing the best DAW's for beginners. Perhaps, what you meant to say is that FL Studio has a higher learning curve compared to the other DAW'S in the video.
@@michaelmay9059If he shouldn’t put DAW‘s with a steep lurning curve in there, then this video wouldn’t exist! 💀🤣 Every usable DAW if you really want to produce music has a steep learning curve! And secondly, you learn this programs, put hours and hours of work into it and then you want to really produce music, change to a real DAW and all your learning and work is wasted because it‘s not comparable and completely different in every aspect! Plus even the things you have learnt, you have to learn new because even for those things you have to click on different areas and even those things work completely different! Sadly you can’t change that if you want to make music… Garage Band would be the simplest of those, but even there you have to learn tons of hours and watch tons of tutorials! And i wouldn’t even recommend it really, because it’s more of a „DAW light“ which lacks in features in comparison to all of the others! But for beginners it’s not bad to learn the basics and to know, if you even like making music! Especially because it’s for free! (But only available on apple devices…)

Reaper is free for 60days and then can be used for free after that (although it's against the license) and costs only 60€. Cakewalk is free on windows. GarageBand is free on Mac.
My daughter is a hip hop artist and shes looking for the best Daw to use to make and record her music. Can anyone give me some advice as to which program I should get. Is Studio One 6 artist a good alternative or should I just get FL studio producer edition
Cakewalk. Or any of the free ones. Ableton Live Lite comes with a lot of gear she'll probably need to buy. So she'll get it that way. Both are very capable systems. Both free. Cakewalk may not be available for upgrades on their free version but it's very good. used it for years
I watched the whole video on DAW for beginners and you never once said what a DAW is. What is it? I genuinely don't know, though I do want to learn how to make simple music productions.
You are correct. I didn't know what DAW stands for and I knew I could use Google, but I wanted to gently make the point that an intro video on DAW might at least say what DAW is.
Ableton easy to learn? I must be a dummy. The GUI seems to have been designed by a committee of 1000 people. I'd rename it Unableton. Some of the vast number of menu dropdowns fall off the bottom of my 42" monitor. It's a gutter of clutter!
I dont like Reaper,I hate FL Studio, the trial version crashed during loading an instrument. So its not a good sign.I'm staying with Studio One.Easiest for me.
Professional means nothing... i know guys that have paid top dollar for DAWS and production sucks.. They lack understanding of arrangements, production quality...very low music "theory" (which is e term i hate).. But.. fact is.. get a DAW and master it..!! I've been using FL faithfully since version 2...so I'm a professional.. classically, piano trained at a music conservatory played saxophone and drums..at the age of 8 yo... Spend your money on learning the instrument(s) you want to master.. Learn what makes a song a classic...(tones, intrument selections, sonic depths, syllable counts within 4 bars) Ready sheet music.. understand chords how to marry chords.. when to clash tones.. The best producers know these little things and pay attention to them.. Finally.. make the music for you to love 1st.. if you love it 1st.. and you don't care what people think.. There are over 4 billion people on this blue ball.. You only need 0.005 to like it!!.. But you gotta love it. !! Good luck to you all... and let's make music😊
Unless you're talking about the stock presets and libraries, the sounds won't differ at all! They'll come from you! You might have more luck searching "stock libraries of X DAW" if you want some more ideas on how their instruments sound
And why is Apple shit?! I learned computers intuitive with no teacher in the 90s with Macs and it was a fantastic easy entry into it. i wanna use logic pro SOOOOO bad but I don't have a macbook nor 200!
Both free.
Cakewalk may not be available for upgrades on their free version but it's very good. used it for years
Fl gets life time free updates
I'd love to start with Logic Pro but I ain't buying a whole PC only to use a program 😂😂😂
REAPER gang!😎🤟🏻
Any thoughts about audacity?
It's an audio editor, not a daw.
anybody know a daw that has a similar interface as fl studio mobile because fl studio is way too confusing
Well done. Nothing more needs to be said.
10:22, it's Ableton, not Abelton xD
DAWS are so damn expensive! Not a fan of the subscription crap.
I watched the whole video on DAW for beginners and you never once said what a DAW is. What is it? I genuinely don't know, though I do want to learn how to make simple music productions.
Digital Audio Work Station
Simple google would have told you smh
You are correct. I didn't know what DAW stands for and I knew I could use Google, but I wanted to gently make the point that an intro video on DAW might at least say what DAW is.
Perfect video for me thx u
Glad it helped! What DAW made the most sense for you?
@@Music-By-Mattie was logic till I lost my laptop in a luggage coming back to Philly 🥲
@@neotv4K oh dang! I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you can get back to making music again soon!
@@Music-By-Mattie this weekend getting a new laptop so… hopefully fingers crossed lol get back into cooking things up yea so … but thx u boss
Studio One?
Hi, which midi keyboard is te most adapted to Logic Pro X?
nektar midis
Ableton easy to learn? I must be a dummy. The GUI seems to have been designed by a committee of 1000 people. I'd rename it Unableton. Some of the vast number of menu dropdowns fall off the bottom of my 42" monitor. It's a gutter of clutter!
Try pro tools lol😂
what is a daw??? and I just want a fun software to make a bit of music like a beat pad...
I have a Mac but I can't stand GarageBand, it's not actually that intuitive. My kid likes it but I'd give it a 4
I mean it is free!
Any DAW only available to on OS should automatically be disqualified from any list.

Ableton is confusing and is not easy to use.
SOUNDTRAP!!!!!
I dont like Reaper,I hate FL Studio, the trial version crashed during loading an instrument. So its not a good sign.I'm staying with Studio One.Easiest for me.
Jerry Overpass
you should get renoise
Professional means nothing... i know guys that have paid top dollar for DAWS and production sucks..
They lack understanding of arrangements, production quality...very low music "theory" (which is e term i hate)..
But.. fact is.. get a DAW and master it..!!
I've been using FL faithfully since version 2...so I'm a professional.. classically, piano trained at a music conservatory played saxophone and drums..at the age of 8 yo...
Spend your money on learning the instrument(s) you want to master..
Learn what makes a song a classic...(tones, intrument selections, sonic depths, syllable counts within 4 bars)
Ready sheet music.. understand chords how to marry chords.. when to clash tones..

FL Studio is useless when free. You can't do shit in it
It's try before you buy, on purpose
That’s not true at all, I released so many tracks for years before I even learned about the 7 day free trial

Dude hates Studio one cuz its the easiest DAW to learn for beginners.

Then which one would you suggest for WINDOWS!??!?!?!?
😂😂😂😂😂
You apple people crack me up. Lol
another dude reviewing a music making software and showed NO SAMPLE AT ALL of how it sounds..
Unless you're talking about the stock presets and libraries, the sounds won't differ at all! They'll come from you! You might have more luck searching "stock libraries of X DAW" if you want some more ideas on how their instruments sound
Thumbs down. He should have said that this was Apple bullshit in the beginning.
Yeah, sure, FL Studio, Ableton and Reaper are definitely Apple products 👍
Haha this ⬆️
u obviously didnt watch the video when he said most of these were also for windows lmao
And why is Apple shit?! I learned computers intuitive with no teacher in the 90s with Macs and it was a fantastic easy entry into it. Then I changed later to PCs, and this was first a downfall ;)
My brother is musician and producer and he swears, Apple is much more stable and faster in all than Windows. Never problems with drivers or incompatibilities.
