- Julian Assange’s father John Shipton has joined Sky News Australia to discuss his son’s upcoming free following Mr Assange pleading guilty to a single charge of espionage.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is set to accept a plea deal from the United States, allowing him to return to Australia.
“He will be free to live the beauty of an ordinary life,” Mr Shipton said.
Julian is not guilty of anything except exposing corruption by the US Government. Blessings to his family!❤
I believe the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's last talks with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken a couple of weeks ago, where he openly stated problems with human rights in the United States and demanded the release of all illegally detained, as well as his interview with the BBC significantly influenced the resolution to free Julian Assange. In that interview, he forthrightly addressed the political underpinnings of Assange's detention and lambasted the double standards and hypocrisy of so-called Western democracies. He denounced their ostensible advocacy for freedom and human rights abroad while perpetrating acts of terror upon their citizens through police violence, unlawful detentions, alterations in sexual orientation among youths, and burdening their populace with lifelong debt.

@@tigressnsnow you can do a simple search on Google or UA-cam on Rudd's role. Obviously it was a group effort, and Rudd plays down his role, but you could say he was the middle-man.

During the Bradley Manning 2013 trial, the Pentagon investigated deaths as a result of the publication of the Afghan War Logs by WikiLeaks. Their findings were that not one death occurred. The data was over 3yrs old anyway by the time Manning put it in the anonymous WikiLeaks drop box.

It has been criminal by all three Governments that Julian has been allowed to be treated so disgustingly. His father is a wonderful father and Julian is a hero. The Prime Minister has been a man of his word, and those who have helped facilitate this outcome deserve the highest commendations. It has been good to see Sky give a decent interview for a change.

What a beautiful man John Shipton is and I had the great pleasure of meeting him and Stella in London when they were promoting the film Ithaka and doing a personal question and answer after the tour of the film. What struck me about John was his Softly spoken angelic voice and angel heart when he said especially how he felt so misunderstood in the world and how all he wanted to do was love others.
Julien & Gabriel are the luckiest sons to be blessed by such humble, patient loving PAPA. How I knew my biological father & had similar intimate bond. Stella & the kids have the best adorable family haven. Quick recovery to Mr. Shipton.
