Hi! I am just starting out on my art journey and enjoy your painting and teaching style. Was this wet on wet or was it just a very wet brush on dry paper when you put down the first wash?
I'm stuggling to understand as I don't know what the original photo looks like and therefore doon't know how to make a value study from a photo. Thank you!

I was painting wet on dry for the first wash, which is my preferred style.
