I like this middle eastern vibe. Seen a glimpse of it in the fashion scene and in music this past year. Hope it takes off with more foreign sounds, awesome seeing artists explore and being creative with their work, but clearly people are too ignorant to understand that on every Skrillex video going "omg why cant you make songs like Scary monsters and blabla, we want old Skrillex", and if he were to make songs similar to his old music people would be like "omg Skrillex cant produce good music, he only does the same stuff". Fucking sheeps, one person says something and everybody else agrees without even thinking it over.
I totally agree, artists need to evolve, nobody stays the same forever, I’ve listened to Skrillex since 2010-12, I absolutely love his new two albums. Quest for Fire has absolute bangers in it, if you haven’t checked it out yet! Don’t get too close has too many collaborative artists and a more mellow sound, but still they are both more modern and evolved Skrillex.
