I downloaded the file for the Easter Lantern but it switched to an HTML file instead of a SVG. Do you have a fix for it. Design Space can not even find it when I browse. I am super excited to make these.
An HTML file is the SVG. Open your HTML file using a text editor like Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac). Copy HTML Code: Copy the code of the HTML file. Create an SVG File: Open a new text file in your text editor. Paste the HTML code. Save the file with an SVG extension. For example, save it as "yourfile.svg". Upload the SVG to Cricut Design Space: Open Cricut Design Space. Create a new project or open an existing one. Click on "Upload" in the left-hand panel. Click on "Upload Image" and then "Browse." Select your SVG file and click "Open." Configure and Save: In the Upload Image screen, you can select the image type (Simple, Moderately Complex, or Complex) to help Cricut optimize the SVG. Click on "Save" to save the image to your Cricut account. Once uploaded, you should be able to insert the SVG into your project in Cricut Design Space.
Jennifer I love this design. I edited it to replace the bunny insert with a silhouette of my dog. It is too cute. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous designs
Already downloaded the files, uploaded to Cricut and attached all of my score lines. Sadly, I don't have the right paper on hand but that's a good thing because I would get busy and miss the video. Looking forward to watching Jennifer make these.
I did it!!!!! Brand new to Cricut this week. And this project was my first real thing I made. Freezer paper worked great for the “window” portion. I was astounded at the finished result. Thank you!!!!
I may make one to set at the Welcome Center and Kids Registration desk at church! I would customize them with crosses, lilies and the saying "He Is Risen."
Hi Jennifer! I appreciate your videos and invaluable information. BUT, what happened to your Mr. Rogers entrance? Please, bring it back. We all need any resemblance of Mr. Rogers right now! :)
love your designs and teaching methods!!! I have an explorer 3 with a scoring tool that goes into the pen adapter. I downloaded the dandelion pattern with scoring. when I go to cut, the score lines show up as a last page and just says "cut" page with notches on the top and the bottom of page.....I'm sure I'm doing something wrong! I ended up downloading the pattern without scoring and it turned out GREAT!!! so I'm fine without doing the scoring but I am wondering if I am having the weird cut page because the explorer 3 doesn't do 'true' scoring??? thanks in advance
We added the no score lines because it is easier to do and Design Space changed. Now the score lines need to be changed from cut to score and attached in Design Space. jennifermaker.com/cricut-scoring-tools-tips/
99% done the first one with flowers - in yellow. Making the 2nd one with pink pastel cardstock and the hyacinth design. Then taking them to church on Sunday to put at the front Welcome Desk. I have to say this was MUCH EASIER than the wolf lantern! That was a once-and-done, never doing again project!😅
I downloaded the bunny svg and then uploaded it to my canvas. After I hit the Make button, mine has 7 mats. The last one is in red and looks like its the top and bottom tabs that would be the scored lines, except they are solid. /-\ and \_/ I downloaded the svg that contains the scores. If they are on a separate mat will the still score? It really doesn't make sense. Can you help me on this?
There are 2 SVGs for each one. One with score lines and the easy one with no score lines. It is perforated instead to make it much easier. Score lines need to be changed from cut to score and attached now in Design Space. Here is a tutorial on how to do it. jennifermaker.com/cricut-scoring-tools-tips/
I’m very frustrated at this point. I’ve spent the money for the supplies and uploaded the no score files to design space and keep getting a message when I go to make it that my machine is not compatible with the project. Can you offer any help?
Double check the size. Ungroup it if you did not do that. Also there is a size for the Joy to use if you are using a Joy. There are more details on the blog. jennifermaker.com/3d-easter-egg-lantern/
My first one turned out alright but I could not get the diffuser panels to work because my parchment paper kept getting pulled up and bunched up - is that because I didn't use the brayer? (I don't own one yet lol)
I just made these earlier today with the instructions on the website, because I couldn't wait for the video premiering! I did have to slice out the design in one of the panels, to make my own design though. It would be nice to have a blank template with it to make this easier.
I have a question. I have a maker but I have only used it twice. I also only have an iPad. If I wanted to download your pdf file for this project where would I find the file on my iPad? I am so intimidated by my machine but I want to try to learn. Can you help me?
I've downloaded the files, but am having some trouble with the score/no score aspect. I've tried both versions, but I'm not getting score lines or cut lines....what I AM seeing is an optional red mat at the end of the gray and yellow ones that appears to have the score lines on it. This red layer doesn't show up on the canvas, so I'm not sure how to add it to the project? I've watched the entire video, but don't see any mention of that step?
Figured it out....the video says to ungroup the project before making it, which I did, but that must ungroup the score lines from the pieces they belong to. I tried simply re-attaching, but that didn't work, so I had to go through and change all the lines that should be scored from 'basic cut' to "score". That solved it, but isn't explicit in the instructional video. :-)
Can someone please tell me if I can use deep cut blade that’s made for explorer on my maker 3? I’m trying to cut basswood and all the blades I found online don’t say for maker 3
The knife blade is for the Maker family but you can also use the deep-point blade. Here is a list from Cricut for blades. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009504773-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-my-Cricut-smart-cutting-machine#maker-machines jennifermaker.com/cut-wood-letters-cricut-names/
@@JenniferMaker thank you! When I indicated veneer wood it defaults to the deep point blade and when I try to add my knife blade, it doesn’t read it. Is the deep point blade for explorers only? I do have the knife blade already.
I like the way you explain everything and I am the person who likes craft, scare to use digital things thanks to you. I am using my circuit maker 3 it been easy now
You don't as all of my designs are free in my library! You may be clicking on an ad so be careful and know that I will not ask for your credit card to enter my library. ❤️
En France on vous adore aussi 🥰. Vos créations sont tellement fabuleuses !!!!
Un énorme merci.

This was my second project. Really enjoyed it. Have sent pics on Instagram😍

It sounds like your mat was not sticky enough. You can use a scraper or even a credit card/gift card in place of a brayer.
