The ridership pretty much quadrupled in its last year because it was so interesting that so many railfans visited it because it was called the least used station

I believe Redcar box closed a few years ago and is now under the control of LNE Regional Operations Centre at York - the box is essentially a crossing box now

Trek001 nope, it is still active and manned. The controller in the box controls the signals within the Redcar area as well as the crossings. I have been in it 3 month ago

I thing to get here as northern has stopped a service stopping there, you have to call northern to stop a train there
