Something that is on Osgir’s page but still may not be an obvious combo is the tron lands and expedition map. Play map to grab a tron land, exile map to get two more to go and assemble tron! Great for this deck!
I'm gonna have to heavily think on this one, that seems so sweet. Just gotta be careful to make sure you don't get colored screwed with too many lands/rocks that don't produce colored Mana
I really like that you added more budget and non-budget replacements at the end of the video, now it truly feels like you're upping the average deck and giving people more options at the end!
Absolutely gotta make room for Goblin Welder, Goblin Engineer, and Zirda the Dawnwaker. Welder can do tons of shenanigans with this deck, swapping your artifacts on the field with the ones in your bin and vice versa. Sacrificing a Sad Robot to get an Ichor Wellspring back onto the field, drawing two cards for free is just *chefs kiss* Goblin Engineer is just bonkers in this deck as well, fetching you any artifact you want and putting it in the bin, ready and waiting for Osgir to get a couple copies of it. And Zirda, oh Zirda: aside from making all your Osgir activations cheaper, it also makes Basalt Monolith go infinite. It's such a solid pick.
I absolutely love that. The only problem I see is Iso being a dead card a lot of the time, because there are only 5 cards in the deck that you can imprint on it. The chances of drawing Iso and a card we can imprint on it are so slim that running Iso doesn't make sense without a pretty good overhaul of how the deck is built. The combo is sick though, infinite turns in Boros is hilarious.
I'm sorry if bringing this topic back seems inappropiate but with the recent release of Kamigawa Neon Dynasty, I couldn't help but talk about. Osgir will be in heaven when he sees numerous artifact creatures that can be used as equipment as well. There's also the red Yamazaki descendant that provides card advantage. There's a ton of new things waiting to be discovered that this commander is up to the task.
@@submortimer it'll be great there, but half the time I ran it stock I'd end up with more lands and it would never trigger. The chromatic baubles and wayfarer bauble give me way more value.
you could but it's a win more card. if you were behind already it's not gonna catch you up all that much. although you are more than welcome to do it just my opinion :) plz tell me how it goes and if I'm wrong about it
Hopping the average on a commander that came out like 2 days ago (sensationalist I know) seems to be counterintuitive. It hasn't even been out long enough to have a consistent average
@EDHRECast: I've a question to the ruling of Ugin's Nexus. At "9:42" you say when resurrected from the graveyard you get 2 extra turns for 6 mana. So as I understand you pay 5 mana with Osgir to make two token copies. Both will enter the battlefield but one haste to be sacrificed immidiately because of the legend rule. So this first token will go to exile and I get a second turn. But at this point, the second token is still in play. Since the skipping of the new turn resolves with the beginning of that turn I've to sacrifice the second token with Osgir before ending the current turn. Since both tokens say "take an extra turn after THIS ONE" I'm not sure if both extra turns will add up or if the second will replace the first extra turn.
Good question! The turns are added one at a time :) Source for ya: mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Turn_structure#:~:text=If%20a%20player%20is%20given,turn%20will%20be%20taken%20first.
Like discussed in previous videos, I feel like osgir will fall to the wayside once people find the most tuned versions. I love it and will continue to annoy my group with him, but I think hes the beginning, of a much more powerful boros line of play.
Been playing this deck for a while now with Mana crypt and stuff like that. I must say it’s wild, Mucosynth is a combo beast, with Karn or Vandalblast. Not much of a stoppage for this deck tbh
I'm hoping that Lotus Bloom can be exiled with Osgir's ability, because I put that in my deck to discard and use Osgir to give me six mana for 0 mana. Also, I put in Phyrexian Triniforme as another big creature that can give me more creatures if it dies.
It should work because you can use Osgir's ability to duplicate the artifact lands as well. Lotus Bloom and the artifact lands have a CMC, sorry Mana Value of 0
Don't forget Treasure Nabber. He prevents some players from using their mana rocks early so it's very disruptive, BUT those that end up using their mana rocks are handing you another mana rock to sacrifice and make two copies of. Osgir is also sacrificing their mana rock, so they don't get it back at end of your next turn as Treasure Nabber would usually do, so this removal too. You remove their mana rock, use the mana for yourself, destroy their mana rock and get two in return. No downside. Treasure Nabber is only three mana to cast as well, PLUS you can use him to bait out a removal spell that might otherwise hit your Karn or something else of higher value.
Wait, can Karn the great creator bring back exiled artifacts with Osgir? I thought that every card that said "from outside the game" doesn’t work in commander.
Karn luckily specifies "outside the game or from exile" so it can grab from either place! Outside the game is a separate zone from exile, which does not work in Commander (unless negotiated with Rule 0), but grabbing from exile will work happily for this Karn :)
@@EDHRECast I’ve never noticed that second clause about exiled artifacts 😅 It never came up playing historic, so I never read that part haha. Magic cards have so many words, easy to miss something. Thanks guys!
How soon does an upping the average video come out before its simply another deck tech? Not to be mistaken i appreciate it! But ita barely been around before watching this commanders list expand
Some cards i noticed weren't in the list: Pull from Eternity can rebuy things you've exiled with osgir to give them another go-round Isochron Scepter: I know there's not a whole ton of valid targets but with some tweaking it'd be a quite useful card, and it fits well with Pull from Eternity so you can constantly be rebuying things for osgir to just exile. it fits super well.
Something that is on Osgir’s page but still may not be an obvious combo is the tron lands and expedition map. Play map to grab a tron land, exile map to get two more to go and assemble tron! Great for this deck!
I put all those in mine
ooohh, didn't think of that one
I'm gonna have to heavily think on this one, that seems so sweet. Just gotta be careful to make sure you don't get colored screwed with too many lands/rocks that don't produce colored Mana
I had them in my list. But you can assemble infinite colorless with less cards and effort than finding all 3 pieces.
This is brilliant
I really like that you added more budget and non-budget replacements at the end of the video, now it truly feels like you're upping the average deck and giving people more options at the end!
"Tokens that are exact copies of something DO retain the mana characteristic." Well that just invalidated a lot of my losses, thanks Joey! :D

aight challenge the stats "treasure nabber" should be in this deck, it ramps you and de-ramps your opponents with the sacrifice outlet from osgir
Glad to see someone else noticing Arcum's Astrolabe as a great add to Osgir.
I was thinking the same thing this snow has to be good for something 😂
I’m just too lazy to get those snows in and I doubt I’m the only one
@@qckngdcks Thats an interesting thought. How frequent do you think it’ll work when you pull Astrolab? That math would be interesting lol
Osgir + Isochron Scepter/Pull from eternity + Ugins' Nexus...

that is a nasty
I like this decklist a lot better than mine, I went a little evil by throwing Damping sphere, Defense Grid and Isolation Cell in mine
Pull from Reality loaded into an Isochron Scepter seems like a pretty decent move for this deck.
That with Ugins nexus in exile can go infinite

Surprised to see this one so soon. Give us a chance to brew first!! 😂
the fact trading post wasn't already in the average list is criminal
With all these puns MM better watch out! You're coming for the title
A lot of the cheap suspend mana rocks are amazing because they come in without suspend if they aren't cast
crap you told them about pull from eternity....hope the price doesnt spike, i love that card
update; it did a little, bought 2 copies...im a slave to the cardboard
I clicked so fast, thinking this was for Hofri! Hofri's so underrated imo, but I'm really happy to see Osgir here too :)
Pull from eternity is a good spell for this deck
please do gyome next, hes the coolest golgari commander from the set and its a pretty weird card to build around.
Monologue Tax and Archaeomancer's Map were easy cuts in my Osgir deck. Chromatic Star and Sphere are great.
I debated about Map, but ultimately I need it more in my Mono-white deck.

A couple of weeks. That all the data we need. Lol
Exactly, I think we need (a lot) more data before reasonably posting an upping the average video

Shadrix Silverquill next maybe?
Especially with 2 headed giant in mind
@@chaddodson1481 that sounds great, its perfect
Great video! I would definitely add Spare Supplies into a budget build and consider it for the upped average build as well.
So if I read that right, don't both triggers go on the stack? So don't you get 2 extra turns not just 1?
Ethan, yes it does
how come no one plays Spare Supplies as a budget, cheap, artifact draw card?
amazing flavor text too :)
Saheeli's directive is a trap. Tried it and was super disappointed. Genesis Wave this is not.
In the budget section Spare Supplies is another one of these cards and it can sac itself to draw another card as well if Osgir isn’t out.
Can we please get a veyran voice of duality!!!??
Wait can Osgir copy Lotus Bloom? If he does does that mean it looses the suspend clause and you can use it right from the bat?
Please please please do beledros witherbloom.
I want to see this with hofri
I've never been this early. Great video as always.
I'm going to say that Mirror of Fate goes into an Osgir deck

Why am I not seeing ashnod's transmogrant? It's not a mycosynth lattice but it will make a non artifact permanently one.
