My question also. I feel... "unsatisfied". There is obviously more to this show. It didn't end here. But the first 6 parts were 'one' of the best histories/stories of the beginning of Rock 'n' Roll I've seen. But the whole story of its beginning must go through the whole 50s, and even the early 60s. There is Buddy Holly and the plane crash, the end of Elvis's early years ending because of his military induction, Jerry Lee's fall from grace, Little Richard's quitting and GOING BACK to religion, and then the resurgence of Rock 'n' Roll with the beginning of Beatlemania, and also the early Beach Boys. There's more to its "beginning" than all that, but those come to mind first. I guess the end of the beginning of Rock 'n' Roll is when the psychedelic/drug/hippie movement came along with the anti-war movement, and when the sexual revolution hit that next phase. It had steadily been progressing since the "gay 90s" before the turn of the century when women's dresses began to show ankles and there was the very beginning of sexual openness that stopped during WW1 but picked up again during the roaring 20s. The Great Depression and WW2 drove people away from it again. Then after WW2, R&R music helped usher in the next phase of sexual openness. It's hard times that scares people away from it. That tells you something about sex AND music. And if there IS a devil/Satan, he is certainly a part of music, especially Rock 'n' Roll.
The original "Groomers"LOL...the US has reverted back to the 50s with McCarthyism on China, Conservative maniacs, and transgender panic just like the panic on rock and roll. Every new generation challenges the old folks and that be a good thing. 😄

Jerry just needed his jaw broken about once every six weeks. As a drummer I always liked playing his music but could never stand him as a person.
