Love watching these kind of vidz where non-local people are leaving their own country and having a grand time somewhere else!! I plan on finally doing that myself in the spring of "2017" moving over to the Philippines after trying to convince my who's from there for years and years to finally move back over there....I will probably have me one of these ponds as well :-) Really loved my time down in Costa Rica!! Been all over that country and I tell everyone if they want a great vacation or honeymoon hit San Jose or the coast.

That's one way to catch a bunch of fish.
Great tip at the end. I've been spiked a lot, but never heard of staff infection from it.
I'll be sure to keep that tip in the back of my mind!

nice vid. your uncle has the life. man glad you were ok i never knew you could get that serious of an infection from a fish spine. it prob depends though on the body of water how more prone they are to carry certain things. and it seems you had certain tells to get it checked out lots of pain, swelling, ect. cya

Yeah, I thought I got spined this past weekend. But no, it was just a bruise I got from the reel smacking my fingers when a monster bass hit my jig. Good thing, 'cause I was worried about infection.
But then my buddy cut himself while cleaning a fish, and I had to coerce him to stop and wash the wound. Don't mess around with bacteria! It will straight up kill you dead.

Much easier ways to catch and sort especially if you improve your drainage methods... Line straight thru a series of sieves...... Actually I would just use net dams if varying card sizes to sort then just cast net or dip net them out.... Although this way looks fun enough

Fish survive a long time out of water if they have moisture, the air was probably humid and fish can survive up to 8 hours out of water (carp) or maybe longer?
