Love watching these kind of vidz where non-local people are leaving their own country and having a grand time somewhere else!! I plan on finally doing that myself in the spring of "2017" moving over to the Philippines after trying to convince my who's from there for years and years to finally move back over there....I will probably have me one of these ponds as well :-) Really loved my time down in Costa Rica!! Been all over that country and I tell everyone if they want a great vacation or honeymoon hit San Jose or the coast.
That's one way to catch a bunch of fish. Great tip at the end. I've been spiked a lot, but never heard of staff infection from it. I'll be sure to keep that tip in the back of my mind!
Thanks a lot for your great ,nice, and fantastic video. ..Really I like fishing and gardening very much. Even this Tilipia is very delicious if you fry it.
nice vid. your uncle has the life. man glad you were ok i never knew you could get that serious of an infection from a fish spine. it prob depends though on the body of water how more prone they are to carry certain things. and it seems you had certain tells to get it checked out lots of pain, swelling, ect. cya
Yeah, I thought I got spined this past weekend. But no, it was just a bruise I got from the reel smacking my fingers when a monster bass hit my jig. Good thing, 'cause I was worried about infection. But then my buddy cut himself while cleaning a fish, and I had to coerce him to stop and wash the wound. Don't mess around with bacteria! It will straight up kill you dead.
Much easier ways to catch and sort especially if you improve your drainage methods... Line straight thru a series of sieves...... Actually I would just use net dams if varying card sizes to sort then just cast net or dip net them out.... Although this way looks fun enough
You should come more to the north of Costa Rica and come fish with me I I'm 13 years old in Guanacaste tamarindo there is some good bass and salt water fishing.
i used to work on a bass fish farm and i cant count how many times ive been finned by fish, i never got anything bad from it, sorry to hear you got that, must just be unlucky
That's a lot of Tilapia! That other pond that was drained seemed a lot shallower than the exported to pond.. True dat? BTW glad you caught that staph infection.. Those things are not good. It happened once to me when I stepped on a catfish fin and it went all through the top of my shoe! =D
The same thing happened in the palm of my hand! the red streaks were up to my elbow by the time we reached the doctor and he told me the same thing that your doctor told you. if the infection reached my heart it could've been bad.
Fish survive a long time out of water if they have moisture, the air was probably humid and fish can survive up to 8 hours out of water (carp) or maybe longer?

Thats pretty cool
Blue Tilapia.. the canals in south florida hold some big ones 20"rs
They're so many little ones in canals by my house. One cast net would get 15-10 fish.
really enyoi ur videos
That's a lot of Tilapia! That other pond that was drained seemed a lot shallower than the exported to pond.. True dat? BTW glad you caught that staph infection.. Those things are not good. It happened once to me when I stepped on a catfish fin and it went all through the top of my shoe! =D
OMG so many fishes
this is so funnnnn.
why not use A cast net ? BTW I had A staph infection from stepping of a nail at work .
The cast net would probably tangle the fishes gills
Also some of the fish are too small for a cast net
@@dash8048 just use a cast net with little holes
Wow! Thanks for that now I'll be more careful handling fish!
Dang lots of fish
Very cool!
That's tilapia!!! My father is the owner of the biggest business of it in Mexico
damn this is actually really cool.
The same thing happened in the palm of my hand! the red streaks were up to my elbow by the time we reached the doctor and he told me the same thing that your doctor told you. if the infection reached my heart it could've been bad.

How did they survive out of the water that long?
Fish survive a long time out of water if they have moisture, the air was probably humid and fish can survive up to 8 hours out of water (carp) or maybe longer?
+Dudeg6 it depends on the fish.
