I don't know about poets of today but I know that Ghalib will be sung even then unless mankind becomes stupid beyond belief and doesn't understand what has been expressed.
My friend, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I do think about the future, but in real sense I do not care. I am a little bit on the pessimistic side. I am a geologist (History of the Earth & the Environmental Studies are my favorite), this has given me a slightly different perspective. I see a devolution of the societies. We may rise some day, right now it is down hill. I am glad that I will be leaving this world alone. Once I leave what will happen? Not my worry. I had my share of fun. I am glad that Ghalib & Faiz wrote in a language which I understand. Best regards.
