Sometimes it's what is missing that makes a successful video. No whining, no irrelevant excursions into his private life, no gear nerdery, no obsession with craft beers and extortionate dehydrated meals (evviva Ginsters!), no gratuitous and unsolicited tips, a reluctance to use the demonstrative adjective "those" properly (just kidding, it's one of them things), no obsession with camp comfort, no fixation on the bike. The ride is at the centre of everything and Josh, in his modest way, comes over as one tough dude.

Yes I agree, that's why we all love Josh. He's a genuine down to earth person and keeps it simple and real.👍

Nice video again. As an American, I don’t think of Great Britain having wide open spaces like we have in Kansas, Nebraska, eastern Colorado, etc--but some of your shots sure remind me of those places. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! I dowloaded gpx and made a trip for me and my buddies. They live in Bournemouth and I am Salisbury. Will save it for the summer though! Great channel. Just a small donation to say thanks and keep up the good work!

Wales never fails to give great views, even when it’s foggy. The brecons are stunning for many reasons. Great video and I agree about when you’ve found a good camp spot, just stop. Had many a regret from not stopping and camping on rough ground over the years after passing great ground

It’s the Beacons not the Brecons. Brecon is just very lucky to have the Beautiful Beacons on our doorstop. Nothing to do with Merthyr which has a rich history all of its own

Loved it Josh. one we thing that would be cool is to know where you are on a Strava Map. I tried to work it out, a few confusing bits. I've ridden most of that ## years ago lol. Still have no idea how to manage with basically no winter kit. You must have antifreeze for blood man

Great video - so glad I found this channel. I ride in the Beacons as much as I can and would love to give this route a try - I’ve been resisting an MTB and only joust got s gravel bike (a lifelong roadie/Tt’er) but this has got me wondering…!! Fab videos!

I have a few questions if that's OK
1.What shorts are you wearing, or would you recommend?
    2. Is that a Patagonia H20 top that you're wearing?
3.What shoes are you wearing? Assuming they're SPD as you ride an MTB?
    Cheers 😊👍

Enjoyed the video but just to let you know, there’s no such place as the “Brecons”, doesn’t exist. They’re the Brecon Beacons or “The Beacons” for short. Speaking as a local, these things matter. Thanks
