My present 2019 SuperlightM6LXBrompton has been modified with some extra titanium parts, and for now weighs 9,35 kilo, with room for even more weight saving, and still with the original mudguards with titanium stays, and 6 gears! For more than double the price I could buy a T-line, without mudguards and with only 4 gears, but weighing 7,45 kilo. I don't find it worth my money, as a Brompton is a "special tool" for certain uses and the small wheels gives much more resistance when rolling, than ordinary size wheels, even in the Brompton, "high pressure" version (I have seen a film with the factual resistance numbers on UA-cam)! It is still a shitty bike, as such! And single folders are mostly useless because of that, as they fill much more than a Brompton or clone and still are hard to ride with the too small wheels! Most of the bikes are manufactured in China. All same frame with different brand/Logo stickers and different accessories to make it looks different. Dahon K3 got a cable below to make the frame stronger. Speed depends on the type of wheel set and tyres use. Rifle S4 is much cheaper.
@@GIBSONGASPER123 Yes. I have a Dahon K3 Plus (around $1,600 in USA) which I modified a lot but now like very much! 60t chainring, stem, saddle, grips, etc.
An only double folder is rather "useless", as it fills too much and is - still hard to ride because of the - too small wheels, without the profit of the extra small, Brompton type fold! If so try eventually an American Army type: "Montague", MTB, which has large ordinary wheels, many gears and only fills a little more than a simple two folder!
