- Almost 2 weeks after Dave’s Coast to Coast walk and he finds himself on an early morning walk At SEAHAM. Stunningly spectacular in the early morning light, SEAHAM presents itself at its very best as Dave does a 5km walk along the coastline.
What I remember about Seaham is the beautiful sea glass I picked up from that beach. I was visiting my son and daughter in law all the way from South Africa, and my son and they took me there for the seaglass. ★☆★
I only found out about the sea glass from people’s comments on this post Hanneke. I can’t wait to get back, post Covid, to look for myself! Take care
Just walked the full coastal route today from Crimdon Caravan Park back to Seaham. One of my favourite walks.
Hey that’s awesome. It’s on my bucket list next time I’m back in the UK. I’ve seen that rout from the train to Teesside and always wanted to do it. How long did it take you?
@@GetInspiredMedia it was just over 3 hours for me. At a more leisurely pace I’d say around 4 hours would be about average.
@@yellowbuggaming7429 Hey that's definitely doable. I thought it could be longer. Thanks for that Yellowbug, I make sure I make time for it :)
love Seaham used to visit my uncle george here as a small boy with my parents xx
I love it too and it seems to get better each time I visit. Thanks for your comments :)
I can't wait to get back!!!
Very nice david.how pretty is seaham n you never mentioned glass once.x
Stunning scenery and historical
Ha ha, actually I did not know about sea glass when I made this video Julie. Knowing me I would have trouble finding it anyway. Can’t wait to get back after Covid. Stay safe x
Noses point was used for the beginning of the third Alien movie and had been used in various tv programs.
Thank you Alan, I did not know that. When I was there last year I could not believe what a stunning location it was. In the 6 years I lived in Durham I never knew it existed, even though I had been to Seaham many times. Thanks for the heads up! Ill keep an eye out for it!!
my home town
One of my favourite places Vet :)

I love my home town ❤️
It’s certainly a beautiful place Kyle. I can’t wait to come back!
I’m from Seaham and you have filmed some great footage
Thank you Lynne, much appreciated. It was an exceptionally stunning morning. And it's one of my favourite areas in the UK. I can't wait to come back. Take care :)
David Ivor Palmer / Believe You Can I love living here, I’ve lived all over the UK, but Seaham is always home and there is no place like home. I’m proud to be a Seaham girl, I don’t have to go anywhere to see a beautiful beach, it’s on my doorstep.
@@lynnepurdue6743 That is awesome Lynne. Enjoy your walks on that stunning beach. I hope you find some sea glass!!
1:03 so pleased you got the pronunciation correct 👍🏼
Haha, I’m nor quite sure what you mean but I lived in Houghton le Spring for 6 years with my family and love the area. I can’t wait to be back after Covid. Thank you for your kind words and take care, you guys have had it so tough 🙏
@@GetInspiredMedia
Because everyone from outside the area would have pronounced it the Yanky way, Sea-Ham. But you pronounced it with the silent h, the way it should be. Good on ya 👍🏼. You take care too, it’s a crazy world
@@durhamfox5271 thank you 🙏
Great band came from Seaham - The Kane Gang :)
Hey, thanks for the heads up about the Kane Gang! I had not heard of them when we lived there.
David Ivor Palmer / Believe You Can
Thanks for reply :) Please do me one thing - look them up on UA-cam. An absolutely amazing 80’s group :)
@@cjenkins73 I checked them out. Great NE band. A lot of awesome musos came from the NE. They even had a hit in Australia with Respect Yourself. Did they ever do a reunion?
David Ivor Palmer / Believe You Can sorry late reply ~ not as I am aware. :(
One of those forgotten 80’s bands.
@@cjenkins73 They sound like an awesome group. Sad :(
I'd be looking for sea glass!
I am passing that way next month and will stop off and try and find Sea Glass :)
@@cjenkins73 I just discovered what Sea Glass meant. Sorry for the delayed response. Thats another reason for me to go back now :) Stay safe and thanks for the heads up!
Kathie, at first I did not know what you mean. Sorry for the delayed response :) Now I cant wait to get back to check it out for myself. Thanks for the heads up!!
My home
One of my favourite places Scott. I can’t wait to come back - post-Covid 👍
Somebody has not done his homework! Very disappointing. This is one of only a few beaches in the world with Sea glass and he missed it!
Hey John, too right. I can’t believe I lived in the NE and was not more aware of Sea Glass than I am now. My job was quite consuming and more involved with people rather than places. I’m trying to get more balance these days. I love your passion for the area John. It’s such an amazing area it deserves to be championed by people such as you. Keep it up! I’ll be back and will do my homework better next time so thank you 👍👍👍
