Awsome video! If you want the remove the "Press a button to configure" when starting a game.
    In the Retropi configuration screen
    Go to :
    retropi setup
    configuration/tools
    runcommand
    Launch menu (set to Disabled)
    exit and reboot to confirm

To disable the runcommand launch menu go to: 1. Retro Setup. 2. C. Config / Tools. 3. Find "834 runcommand - The runcommand launch script. 4. Change "Launch Menu" to Disabled.

Word of warning: This method doesn't work in older retropie. The menu just comes back when you reboot.
A better and failsafe method is to use 'manage core packages' in the retropie setup. then just remove retropie. (this does not remove any functionality just the retropie menu item)

To get the fix in the video to work I had to:
    1) Open Emulation Station start menu.
    2) Select 'Other Settings'.
    3) Set 'Save Metadata' to 'Always'.
    4) Make sure 'Show hidden files' is set to 'Off' (it is set to off by default).
*Side note: Disabling "Kiosk" mode will show the hidden menu with all of its settings. Entering "Kiosk" mode will hide them again.
