Shinn at the beginning snaps from time to time but after hold the grudge he has, doesn’t speak much and is presented as a normal soldier that knows his position/respects his superiors. In terms of trained abilities, he might be on par with Kira but kira is always given the most powerful ms so he won't ever win in a gundam battle. Skill wise however, Shinn might be weaker than Athrun. Shinn couldn't fight at at his best with the immortal justice which might have been tailor made for Athrun and the non-nuclear weapon with the highest close range stats. Athrun was the mvp of the movie. The way I see it is the following. Kira + freedom = best at long range with average ability for short range, Athrun + justice = best at close range and above average with long range because of his military training. Athrun is still among the best in shooting skills. In an ms, he loses to Kira only. Shinn + destiny = close to the best in mid-range. He might still need to try harder to be on par with Kira and Athrun but Shinn isn't far behind them. Shinn is actually a character with more hardworking than talent based on the new novel released on the moonlight valkirie.
Did Shinn ever find out that one of the ships he sunk, that the Orb officer that helped him after his family became collateral damage, was on one of those ships?

It's likely that there are at least spares of them, Minerva was built specifically for the use of the new generation gundams from ZAFT, and has a dedicated flight deck purely for the impulse. A lot of things were made to be able to assist it mid-combat. Why they didn't launch multiple mid combat is beyond me, like they did in Victory Gundam.
@@Lolsocialism my guess is that there's only 1 Core Splendor assigned to the Minerva, so they can't assemble more than 1 Impulse Gundam at a time despite the abundance of spare body parts and Silhoutte Packs. And even if they do have more than 1 Core Splendors, it probably requires special training for you to get used to the Impulse' on-field transformation sequence.
@@VexenDmitri You know what, that's fair. I can see the reason for only one core splendor being that they didn't intend for the rapid switching in combat beyond perhaps beyond the silhuette flyers, but that seems like a design oversight.

Impulse recharging it's batteries durring battle is the dumbest thing they thought of. Much of a double zeta wannabe. In the SEED DESTINY universe I would have sink the ship or shoot down his leg flyer and sword mod equipment. That's it no more bad ass Shin. But Plot Armour saves the day smh...
Shinn was a idiot i still put my money on the zamzazah over him and his ilttle transformer toy lol sadly the favortism of zaft in the story is one of the big reasons i felt destiny was held back from being as good as seed
