This episode together with the Dr John Kani one proves beyond reasonable doubt that the guys( MacG and Sol) are pure broadcasters as no single profanities were used and even a primary school kid can watch it. I agree with MacG when he said that how the episode goes is dependent on the energy with the guest and it seems like they're able to get the guests energy level up with each episode despite having never met some of the guests who come on the podcast.
This is my favorite interview of all times❤️Thanks for bringing Mom Connie on the podcast. Would love to see more women in the industry like Sindi Dlathu, Connie Ferguson, Leleti Khumalo etc.
Going through memory lane. I met Ausi Connie in Houston, TX 1994 and I became friends with her son. She was so humble and always being chilled. For me she was a role model, actor, and someone who made us believe we as South Africans can achieve and break borders.. HOUSTON times was amazing because we were trying to figure out who we were as Black South Africans in the city that welcomed us and weekends BBQ were amazing.

What a wholesome interview. Sol and Mac I love how you flip from interviewing one character to another (a Tebogo Thobejane to Dr John Kani to Mam Connie), so effortlessly. Its a pity it was so short, I feel Mama still had so many stories to tell. Either way, much appreciated. ❣Thank you
"Iphi Intombi" is one of the best South African musical Films ever made, this woman is a South African Treasure if only we had a hall of fame to cherish her legacy, what she speaks about hollywood and how they take care of actors, we are still far behind as to how we respect and value our craft
When I read iphi intombi I don’t know why I got so emotional 🥲 it’s one of the memories from childhood I remember. I don’t remember the play itself but I remember how it made me feel and wow what a time.
